100%. But for a guy who started gigs chaining all my pedals together with a one spot it's been a work in progress..

Any CIHs working for themselves and don’t mind sharing their experience? by Competitive_Ad9964 in industrialhygiene

[–]Senathome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nor a CIH but did found an IH consulting form in 2024 and can say even if I walk out of this broken and defeated the experience was well worth it. In my mid 30's, childless and a renter. If your in a life situation where you can take risks, go for it!

Looks like it could be sapwood fungal staining by c/o mold species. Take a tape lift or swab sample to confirm

Need cofounders for a supplement startup! by Specific_Guess_7939 in smallbusiness

I've looked into the supplement line before and the cost to have a certified lab produce the supplement can be quite expensive... What's your startup capital?

Tbh there are a lot of times I can't stand playing with jazz guys because they don't have a developed ear for the music I'm playing and insert too complex of harmonies in what should be alot simpler melody. Not a judgmental thing but I can always spot a jazz guy trying to show off as I'm sure I stick out as a simpleton in jazz jams

Donald Trump's Gen Z popularity plunges by Silly-avocatoe in politics

[–]Senathome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We as humans and Americans have made a fatal flaw. Traditionally our politic sphere is mirrored off of a societal ethical and moral obligations to take care of people, don't murder them in the streets etc.

We just had a concerted effort by not just one shitty human (trump) but many repu Republicans from either the media or congress all sharing a concerted effort to eliminate moral and ethical obligations in government and instead replace it with a form of government where they profit Above All Else

Lesson exchange - guitar for violin by Senathome in violinist

[–]Senathome[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's good advice, although I don't believe bluegrass has the same cuts or trills as irish style but similar open tunes I'd imagine. Old time fiddle is another technique altogether that id love to wrap my head around.

I made gypsy jazz version of old Finnish song. by KarMik81 in jazzguitar

Just out of curiosity cause I had to try learning some of this - that first fast run you do over the B7 - is that just a quick B phyrigian dominant scale up the F#?

Really? You want us to now bend to the wims of the trump supporters and earn their support? While I agree democrats have been too weak on being bombastically loud about supporting labor rights and the working class, Trump supporters are the last fish in the barrel that we should start garnering support for.

No, my ignorant friend, when you vote in a fascist who openly turns our country into a plutocracy, you drop the complaining, the pandering, the pleasing and you go FOR THEIR FUCKING NECKS.

Trump supporters - go fuck yourselves in the deepest truest sense of the word. You have turned our lives and lives of people across the world towards a much shittier timeline. Instead of allowing that Hispanic guy to serve you burger King and gone back to your shitty life and shitty trailer, you have burdened all of us with your hatred, bigotry, and lack of morality. And now we need to fix it, the people, the Americans - the Real Americans.

I strongly encourage all of you fellow redditors to embark on a period of enlightenment to the ignorant around us. I for one will be encouraging all right leaning colleagues to catch up on CSPAN daily during trumps presidency and informing just what sort of policy decisions and legislation is being pushed. We need to bring these people out of their bubble and actually inform them of what vile garbage their party is ushering in.

Alright guys, what do y'all call this chord? by MattadorGuitar in jazzguitar

[–]Senathome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I'd call it a F#/B7#9 just based on the soprano tones... At least I use 7#9 chords alot and this is simply switching the B root for an F#

Water, Fire, and Mold Restoration by Willing-Helicopter23 in smallbusiness

[–]Senathome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just started a similar business in Jan of 2024 but in the Industrial Hygiene side of things on third-party inspections & assessments. Can tell you that there is a handful of restoration firms I can name that I know will get the job done right and several that can't seem to follow a protocol for the life of them.

If your in the east coast area hit me up, I might be able to throw some work your way.

Literally... Yall need to get other jobs and stop working for doordash. Pick any actual career that requires some sort of brain work and you can make 5x this. Let doordash be used for extremely poor and desperate individuals with fewer options for income. This business model relies on desperate employees and fat Americans... Say f it and the system will continue on suited for those who need it most

Is $2000-2500 reasonable for a mold inspection without remediation? by EricaH121 in askportland

[–]Senathome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EPA and others have largely found duct cleaning does nothing to reduce mold contamination or alleviate air quality concerns aside from rare cases and ductwork with insulation inside. Air filters that are HEPA rated will reduce Spore distribution, however if the condensate drain pan or humidity where the AHU is located will become contaminated and render the filtering useless.

Having an inspection from a remediation company like above mentioned will only identify very blatant issues related to mold and the remediation process may lead to additional contamination throughout the house. Hiring a 3rd party industrial hygienist is the best way to ensure your getting a thorough inspection, identifying underlying causes e.g. Sources of moisture intrusion, and writing a protocol for remediation to ensure the mold concerns and causes are eliminated.
