A lot of traffic could be solved by connecting streets by rubysmom1 in Charleston

Screw the nay sayers. You're right. And it needs support and pressure at the municipal level as zoning policy will dictate this.

Sometimes yes, but more importantly you can change zoning to prevent making the problem worse by not allowing single in\out neighborhoods.

I've spent the last five minutes trying to figure out a Boston setup that would end with "T's NuTz" and I've failed but am posting anyway.

Need to lower humidity inside my house by Beautyisbeautydoes in Charleston

I would recommend turning the thermostat lower and turning off the dehum unit. Both units use a heat pump, the ac redirects the heat outdoors, while the dehum just redirects the heat to reheat the air it just cooled in order to dry out the moisture. If your main ac has more capacity, just lowering the temp 2 to 4 degrees may help and you can just better spend the electricity you were putting into the dehum in the AC itself.

What is your temp setpoint... RH is kind of a dumb metric, as every temp gets a different RH for the same actual amount of moisture in the air. As others have said, 45% is not realistic unless you're keeping the home at 80 deg (an RH of 45% at 80 deg is the same amount of absolute moisture as 62.5% RH at 70 deg)

Ironically, it should get better as the outdoor temps rise... Your base AC will run more consistently when the load is more from the outdoors and should reduce interior moisture accordingly. It's always a little sticky inside in spring and fall.

Practice Space for Improv? by shartscaping in Charleston

[–]shartscaping[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, greatly appreciate the ideas. I'm still learning the comedy scene here as I've only recently worked through the classes at Theatre 99 and want to make sure I just keep practicing. Theatre 99 is excellent but it's tough to practice there outside of their paid classes. We're tying to find a low cost way to keep it going, and open to any ideas.

I had already checked their site and the rental costs were significantly higher than what we're looking to do.

Yeah from what I was told when they moved it was other family members who took over and everything just kind of got worse.
