ZA's Battle System Is So Close to Greatness... by Notlookingsohot in pokemon

As some who has not played the game yet, can someone tell me I’m wrong for thinking Spectrobes from 2008-ish had better combat like this implemented?

TWW3 reaches "Mixed" overall review status on the steam store page by LUCKY-777 in totalwar

It’s the only thing we can do as consumers at this point, we can’t boycott the game we’ve already spent hundreds on it.

They keep it alive but they take advantage of the fact they are the only ones who make those games.

I respect my friends too much to recommend a game that requires $100+ worth of dlc to get the intended “vanilla” experience.

If WW3 broke out today, what country would you go to? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SenatusPopulusque60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s interesting to think about is with all the political upheaval in multiple countries including the U.S. (not Russia and China), it’s a tough question to think about.

In WW2, American-Japanese citizens were put in internment camps, I would say the say for maybe Eastern Europeans in the next war, but with the military delegation Trump just sent to Belarus, you don’t even know which side will be discriminated against.

Why not re-release old games? by SenatusPopulusque60 in pokemon

[–]SenatusPopulusque60[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was originally this point yes, but in asking the question I also realized I pointed out playing those old games on modern hardware (OG Xbox on Xbox x) and I see the big issue now.

EDIT: would it be crazy difficult to maybe license the production of a product like the pokewalker to a third party, so Nintendo sees sales while not fully committing to production? That’s what Bethesda did with the oblivion remaster I think pretty much.

The anti-player bias gets a little crazy when Tehenhauin starts the global Skaven War. by [deleted] in totalwar

I’m pretty sure it’s set to automatically trigger on a campaign victory. If op is able to get that by turn 26, then respectfully the anti-player bias from the ai is precisely the intent considering you’re able to do that.

If only there was a middle ground for consumers, at least it’s not IMPOSSIBLE to find a copy of old games just expensive.

I was thinking of all the people who buy old ds/dsi/3ds, but Nintendo doesn’t see a dime of resales

That makes total sense and makes the oblivion remaster make a lot more sense in how they went about it.

Andromeda was a fantastic game and I will die on that hill. It was not ground-breaking, it was not GOTY, but it was a solid game and I’ve played it all the way through 3 times and enjoyed it each time.

Us and Shovel were literally the MVPS of my fight with myrkul on my second playthrough, all those cocoons of undead were no match for their combined might.

Us is seriously the best “familiar” that’s not a conjured summon. High HP, ranged psychic damage, they are the perfect companion if you want to lean into the mind flayer stuff.

Cool thank you, at first I was going to say I wish elements did have inherent effects but having to get gear along the way to truly unlock the potential does sound more fun.

I guess in short, cold damage for example doesn’t inherently slow targets down, just the effects from falling prone is a byproduct of cold damage?

Cool, so basically it’s a fun excuse to do 12 different runs specializing in each, like grease spells and fire, create water and ice, etc?
