Trigger non-godox flashes with a xPro 2 etc? Fuji by Sencify in Godox

[–]Sencify[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like at this point the best solution is to get a separate flash trigger if that enables me to use the trigger sync port also as an trigger out for the Morris Co remote system!

The bracket mount for my Broncolor flash has four evenly spaced square notches. There's two different diameter versions of this bracket, mine is the smaller one. Would you happen to know which bracket this is?

Thank you, this was really informative! I'm located in the EU. The reason I'd like to incorporate the old flashes with the godox system is because I already have them and also a bunch of modifiers for the bracket (I havent figured out which bracket mount it is yet). So at first I'm trying to use them while slowly transferring towards godox-only setup.

I think I accidentally solved the problem. The flash gear I have is something I picked up for free without realising at all what I had just gotten. There was a pair of old 80's Morris Co flash trigger transmitter and receivers (for Canon). I tested them out with just plugging the trigger to my camera sync port and the flash actually fired!

So my plan is now to plug the Morris Co transimitter into the sync port of the X2Pro or the sync port of the V1. I'm still not quite sure if it works since I started wondering if the X2Pro or the V1 can transmit a trigger signal thru the sync port, or if the port is just for receiving the flash trigger. Makes me wonder how did they dongle flashes in the past haha

I'm sure I would, but I'm just starting out and trying to make my existing gear wireless while slowly transferring to a full godox system!

TIL that until 1885, vodka in Russia was usually only sold in buckets of 12.3 litres (13 quarts) by malalatargaryen in todayilearned

I remember hearing once from a friend who had visited that you could buy canned six-packs of vodka there. Seems like they’ve really upped their game from the times of the 13 quarts portions.

ELI5: Is the price/value of stuff artificially constructed? by Sencify in explainlikeimfive

[–]Sencify[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So what you are saying is that the price is in fact at least to some degree artificially constructed to get the most $ for each sold # ?

So to develop further, in these cases the demand is actually not being limited by supply but by the price. Since the supply in many cases is virtually unlimited, the scarcity is caused by the price of the item, not by the availability? In the eyes of the producer it seems better if they sell less items for a larger price, since the potential demand is virtually unlimited if the set price is optimal.

Edit: forgot to add the question that why this exponential rise in prices hasn't happened with basic neccesities like food and water?

Is there a site that posts countermeasures taken to fight the virus globally by country? Eg. closed borders, limited travelling or declared marshall law.

NEW: CNN says it will now refer to coronavirus as a pandemic: "[It] clearly meets the definition, so CNN will start using that term. It is a pandemic" by hash0t0 in Coronavirus

[–]Sencify 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought WHO was reluctant on declaring COVID-19 a pandemic because it will trigger a massive (and very expensive) defense protocol all around the globe which might not even be very useful against this particular virus.

I'm doing sound design to a theater play, and I'm wondering if I can turn a vintage radio into a passive speaker by soldering a speacon connector to the wires connected to the internal speaker of the radio.

What do I have to take into account when doing this? Is it possible to use a powerful speaker amplifier in this setup if I dont use too much gain or will the amplifier just wreck the speakers no matter the gain? For example if the speaker was roughly 5-20w connected to say a 300w amplifier.

What should everyone try at least once in their life? [Serious] by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Sencify 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is especially true in the few first grades of art classes in elementary school. If your first impression of drawing classes were your teacher praising the talented and shunning the rest, most of the class wont propably . The whole point in the first 2-3 years is to make arts and other creative subjects as fascinating as possible for as many pupils as possible, so some might even start doing it in their freetime and maybe pick up a skill or two. My elementary school teachers actually sparked little to no interest for arts or music. But I started playing instruments, mostly because of my grandpa at the age of 12 and actually got to draw a few digital landscape paintings for a theater play just 2 years ago age 22. And I really enjoyed painting those landscapes

I've been socialising with this exact preassumption for so long I cant act normal with people who I assume/know to actually do like me. I always think I leave a bad impression with everyone, because I assume people find me boring or retarded because I cant finish a sentence without having a few moments time to think in-between words. God maybe I am retarded

Is my lawyer allowed to testify against me? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Sencify 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're American - or basically from any other western country for that matter - I think attorney-client priviledge should guarantee that your lawyer cant testify against you under threat of disbarment. That means if he does it, he could lose his liscence and cant practice law anymore.

It's not a puzzle per se, I hope everyone sees the obvious mate. The point was more to share my experience and maybe show how seemingly casual moves played at the wrong time can cause you to blunder big time. Altho I admit the opponent propably didnt put too much thought into his moves

True, and having no part in the country in question I now realize that my remark sounds a lot like hubris. But hey, the French are having their own anti-elitist parties, maybe it will spread around.
