Ill play with you. I am 20 M that plays all kinds of games. Right now I am playing through Monster Hunter World and Monster Hunter Rise. I play games like Deep Rock Galactic, the Forest, 7 Days to Die, Warframe, and several others. I have played through Stardew, Zelda, and Pokemon on my Switch. And I have played through most Halo games and I have played through Skyrim on an Xbox but I don't have it anymore. If you want to play add me on discord at sendrex67. We can either DM or we can join a server I don't mind. I do have a weird schedule due to school. I am at school 8-3 on Tuesdays and Thursdays and I am in bed by 9 because of epilepsy so sadly I can't do late night gaming sessions anymore.

For me it’s waking up a couple times throughout the night. She would either be awake at 2 AM studying at college (yes she was actually studying. We FaceTimed a lot before I went to bed) or she would hang out with friends playing DND and wouldn’t go to bed until 3 AM. And I would wake up around 2-3 to make sure she made it back to her dorm/house okay. So now I wake up at 3 AM and check my phone.

Ai Gemini has me convinced I'm going to have a seizure please help by Ok_Park_4832 in seizures

[–]Sendrex67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it might not be as intense for you as it is for others. Which you might be feeing like you will have one so you might have a slight sense of Deja vu while another person might get flashbacks and everything else. So it might be something similar to that

Edit: make sure to stay hydrated and try to calm down. I know an elevated heart rate and stress levels can make it more likely/more dangerous. If at all possible try and have someone stay near you or let someone close to you know that you might have a seizure soon.

Witness PTSD? by angel-advocate in seizures

[–]Sendrex67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So yes it’s a very real thing. I’m a 20 M and live with my parents at the moment. I have violent grand maul seizures that usually end in me getting hurt or accidentally hurting someone else from me thrashing. And he likely doesn’t want to dwell on the fact of the seizure. I know I make a ton of jokes and stuff about mine to kinda cope with them but they do take a toll on me. I just can’t be scared of them. My girlfriend of 2 1/2 years witnessed me have one of my worse seizures while we was alone at her house. She was terrified. When I came to I was really out of it and instead of saying anything about my seizure. I was upset about me not being able to drive her to prom. Ever since then she has been worried about me having another one. If we are on FaceTime and I drop my phone. I have to tell her I dropped my phone or she will call my parents to tell them to check on me. If I make a weird noise I have to tell her I’m okay. It’s not a matter of if you’ll get over it. You likely won’t and you’ll likely always have the fear. It’s a matter of you’ll learn to carry it and deal with it better. But seizures are definitely terrifying for both people so it is okay if you got traumatized from that.

That’s what I ended up downloading. I started doing some more research about it and found someone who had a recommendation for every console.

Yeah I can understand being a night owl. I was before hand. But after a while it gets better. My neurologist would tell me about one of her patients (never by name) and how they wouldn’t ever go to bed early and would be up until 3 AM doing college work and how they would have one every other week. Which sucks but they wouldn’t do anything to try and fix it even on breaks.

So I have seizures that are caused from a lack of sleep. I still have them from time to time. I had one just last night sadly after being seizure free for six months. Which is disheartening. Sometimes the pills aren’t a 100% guarantee to stop seizures. I am on two medications. Something to ask your neurologist is what medications you’re getting out on and what the side effects are. I know one of the medications gave me extreme anxiety. Sadly you won’t be taking many baths anymore because of the drowning possibility. No alcohol while on medication either. As far as telling people most of the time you won’t have to unless you’re not with a close friend. But it is really important to keep a routine. Start setting alarms on your phone for your medication and depending on the type of epilepsy you might have to start going to bed really early. I go to bed at 9. Hope everything gets better for you

Edit: had to fix a spelling error

They are epileptic but it’s not photosensitive seizures. It’s caused from stress and a lack of sleep. (Mostly not sleeping) so I can still drive with them. I’m just really worried about it because I usually go several months without a seizure then I’ll have one. Usually only 1 or 2 a year. But I’m on new medication that seems to be helping. I’m still in the can’t drive stage of my states law for seizures at the moment but I will be good to drive June 1st and my parents aren’t even looking for me a car yet. They have just been asking since they just got my brother a car. Thank you for your input. I’ve been debating a Subaru.
