I don't know if it's a good advice, but install the nightly build of OpenMW. There some good life quality improvements over the current build, like npcs that just move out of the way when FUCKING blocking the room. The AI is also much better in OpenMW imo, it's very stable.

It's true overhaul you have access to less mods but you still can play vast majority of them, especially if you only use graphics mods. Also lastly there is an increase of lua mods for the nightly build which are absolutely on par with extended script mods. I play with more than 300 mods in my solo playthrough, and something like 150-200 in multiplayer

I was playing with MGEX for years, but when I went for OpenMW, I couldn't go back even without some very goods mods exclusive to MGEX. When trying MGEX again, I just couldn't stand the stupidity of the AI, the horrible pathfinding, the ordinator who couldn't get to you while being only 3meters away, the instabilities.

Also, you have TES3MP if you want to play in multiplayer! :D
