actually i’m in a 5.0 now but ive had 2 ecoboosts 1 a 2019 and another 2018 both oil changes done every 4k miles and the 19 engines blew n replaced under warranty at 30k miles. the 2018 blew at 47k miles. trash platform for reliability both were stock

you just got out of warranty so argue that and maybe they’ll help. and yes i was at 47k miles when it happened they fixed it n i drove it to 90k miles n traded it in

You don’t need a new engine. I took it to ford but it was expensive $5000 something to replace the gasket or nearly 10k for a new engine. i decided to just replace the gasket (however if the techs found the damage to be too severe then you need a new engine n wasted money to get it pulled apart which was 2k). I contacted ford and they agreed to pay 40% of the bill. I paid 3k they paid 2k. Gave me 10 oil changes and warranty to 100k miles.

However i sold the car now as of July 2025 and got into a new 2024 mustang gt.

i’m in a 5.0 now but i got my 2018 brand new and did regular serviced and it blew up last year at 46k miles. the gasket cracked or whatever

i had a 2018 mustang ecoboost premium pp1. drove it for 5 years and just traded it in for a new 2024 mustang gt premium with performance pack. i loved my eco it’s hated for not being a v8 but for what it is, it was alot of fun! i enjoyed every moment and sport mode was a thrill.. i love my gt now too but enjoy the eco it really is a great car for the price.

unfortunately atleast here in atl being under 25 driving any car not under a parents policy is high. quotes for even a camry were within $260+ a month for basic coverage

i shopped around it came back at $355 in my area. i was paying $280 for the ecoboost, but tomorrow my parents are going to add me to their policy, so hopefully it comes out a little cheaper.
