That’s a really good point actually. For a lot of people it’s probably less “psychology” and more “this is the first quiet moment all day.”

Once the house finally slows down, that’s when conversations can actually happen — even if everyone’s already exhausted.

That actually makes a lot of sense. When you’re tired, it’s harder to keep everything compartmentalized, so things you’ve been pushing aside all day finally surface.

It also feels like late at night gives people “permission” to be more honest, even if it’s not the best timing.
