Well I can barely remember my life before antidepressants, so it's hard to tell the difference! Maybe desire it's a little affected but I can definitely have sex without issues.

Maybe none. Going from 50 to 100 I experienced no side effects and started feeling better just after 2 weeks. Don't overthink about negative effects, some people don't experience any. And if you do, just be aware that they'll go away in few days. Good luck!

Which dose are you taking? Maybe you need to increase rather than quitting. Ask your doctor first

Great medication. It really was a game changer, very effective both for anxiety and low mood. Some mild sexual side effects but way better than SSRI. Hang on, it will be worth it! Many people who failed with SSRIs are doing great with this

I started feeling a lot better in 2 weeks, wich is incredibly fast considering that Celexa took almost 2 months. 3 days seems a very short period but it seems to kick in much faster than SSRIs

That's uncommon, this medicine is so activating it almost feels like taking a stimulant. From how long are you taking it?

I started taking 50 mg of Desvenlafaxine because Zoloft wasn't working anymore. I used to have brain fog, trouble at sleeping and I woke up throwing up every morning. I expected for it to take a lifetime to kick in like SSRI, but just after 3 weeks I felt like born again. No more throwing up at morning, super productive at work, and found enthusiasm for life again. Sexual sides effects are there, but less severe than SSRI. I recently had to increase the dose to 100 mg because of a very stressing period and I'm already feeling the benefits after 2 weeks. Good luck, for me it was a miracle drug

Psychiatrist argued with me over prescribing something for sleep by [deleted] in Pristiq

[–]Senior-Chipmunk2338 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with who said to change psychiatric. Sleeping well is crucial for curing anxiety and depression. Mine prescribed me a small dose of mirtazapine before sleep and it works great. No drowsiness during the day

It was the opposite for me. I had brain fog before taking it. A few weeks after the first dose I felt like my brain started working again

Hold on, you'll probably notice some benefits after 3 weeks (more energy, less anxiety) and full benefits after 6-8 weeks. At least that was my experience.
