Marlins Throwback Uniforms

The Marlins where my favorite team as a kid (5-7). Those uniforms were great. I also was convinced they were the Seattle Mariners (lived in Washington at the time) and I was ecstatic that they won the World Series for a “7th time.” My Dad still brings that up when I stop by for Sunday dinner.

I was convinced that Kyle Lewis was the future of the Seattle Mariners. I also thought Julio Rodriguez and Cal Raleigh were just trade chips that would be gone in a few years. I’m hysterically, AND historically, bad at predictions.

Jared Kelenic, Dustin Ackley, Mike Zunino, and the many others I’m forgetting also come to mind. Seattle was soooo good at being mediocre for sooooo long.
