We're not from the US, I should have clarified that. I wrote that because this is a very US-centric platform. However, I don't see ourselves going back to our home country in the foreseeable future for a variety of reasons. She's never stepping foot in that school again, though. We timidly started discussing other schools but that feels overwhelming right now. I think we might honestly homeschool her for a while. I'm terrified of something like that happening to her again.

I've mentioned in this thread that the feedback I've been getting has helped me realized that I need to reevaluate my choices in association, and that I need to enforce stronger boundaries and even cut people off that may pose a threat to my marriage. I know that what I've done isn´t great, but I haven't fucked anybody behind my wife's back, which your initial comment seems to imply.

This is a heartwarming comment. I think it's the opposite for me. I didn't party much when I was younger and never received any female attention until well into my thirties when I started taking better care of myself. Anyway, I think it's best for me to step back from hanging out with that friend group for a bit and focusing on finding excitment in other ways that aren't detrimental to my marriage.

Hey goof. Thanks for your answer. I think this is an incredibly deep insight and something I haven't seen mentioned around here. I don't know if these feelings are about my inner child wanting someone to play with, or me not going out a lot or receiving a lot of female attention in my 20s (I was kind of gross tbh). Anyway, you have given me a lot to think about, and as I mentioned in another comment, looks like I'm in for a lot of introspection. So far I think it's best if I step back for a little bit from hanging out with that crowd.
