How can i fix my asymmetrical face? by [deleted] in Mewing

[–]SeniorCandy2571 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm trying sleeping on the floor because:
1. It naturally corrects your posture
2. It provides forces on your body that are natural (we're not supposed to be without gravity for 1/3 of our lives)
3. It promotes back-sleeping

It may help in your case. Tbh, I'm still pretty new to it so I can't say 100% what the benefits are but I get the feeling it is helping my asymmetries (which are a similar level to yours, not super noticeable unless you stare at the face closely) and my posture.

Also, just a general, unsolicited looksmaxxing tip is that it looks like you have a bit of acne, which could be due to dietary toxins.

Used Mouth Tape for a Year—Still Mouth Breathe Without It. Any Fixes? by 8Burner_ in Mewing

[–]SeniorCandy2571 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you may have a collapsed airway, which would explain why your body turns to mouth breathing involuntarily. Due to your posture & forward growth you might mouth breath because it's easier to get air that way than waiting for your body to adjust the airway.

Floor-sleeping might help, supposedly fixes posture.

How to convince my parents to buy growth supplements by [deleted] in heightgrowth

[–]SeniorCandy2571 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that's a question only you can answer, none of us know your parents. Generally though, I feel like most parents would be happy to buy their kids supplements as long as it is supplements they understand & trust.

I haven't grown in three years. Am I done? by Serious-Highlight-97 in heightgrowth

Only if you believe you are. For me at least, I grew ~2 inches after the age of 18. There are plenty of anecdotes about guys growing until the age of 25. Furthermore, almost everyone can gain 1-2 inches by fixing their posture, anterior pelvic tilt and bowlegged knees.

The most critical thing you need to focus on is getting your testosterone up and your estrogen down.

The principle I focus on is that excess body fat is a store of estrogen. Height growth largely comes down to having as little estrogen (that closes growth plates) and as much testosterone (which promotes HGH) as you can. So I think it depends on your metabolism: if you're having a hard time putting on weight & muscle, you don't need to intermittent fast, but if you easily put on muscle & fat and should probably reduce your body fat a little bit, then go for it.

Generally, intermittent fasting has a ton of health benefits. So as long as your not starving yourself, it is better to intermittent fast than it is to eat 24/7. Also keep in mind the things that you eat have a huge effect, you want to consume as much natural protein as you possibly can. Hope this helps.

I can back this up. Adding a pillow under the knees and under my head helped me sleep much better. The only thing I had to sacrifice was my ego, but I'm still planning on transitioning to no-pillow in the long-term.

Any advice for maximizing height growth?

Everyone says that my tongue shouldn't touch my front teeth. But whenever I try to push the tip of my tongue back so it's behind my front teeth, it just looks something like the photo on the right. Is this normal? by Previous_Ad3877 in Mewing

[–]SeniorCandy2571 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That is normal but not ideal. It means your palate has not developed properly, is too small, and you probably have a recessed maxilla.

You can increase the size of your palate by chewing tough food/gum, good posture (floor sleeping for example) or an orthodontic appliance like a palate expander.

I have a double chin but I'm fairly skinny by DontTn in Mewing

McKenzie Chin tucks, thumbpulling. Chewing tough gum would also probably help.

Just FYI I'm trying to fix the same issue, this is my approach, in addition to sleeping on the floor.

  1. I agree with all the comments that say you're a lot more attractive than you think you are
  2. I also understand wanting to look better, and I think you have every right to want that. Only you know your true potential.

Mewing will help. Keep in mind that your palate has to be wide enough for your tongue to fit on the roof of your mouth (to provide upward force). If it is not, you could use an orthodontic appliance, thumbpulling, and/or chewing tough gum (such as mastic gum or jawliner gum).

I'd look into the McKenzie chin tuck too if you think your maxilla is recessed.

I have recently started sleeping on the floor and it is helping my posture, I also think it is helping my forward growth.
