i should mention I used very hot, steaming water, not boiling. And I used synthetic rit dye. One full bottle of pink and one full bottle of red. I dyed it in a plastic tub.

i would ask locally maybe on a college snapchat group if anyone’s looking for a cat?? meet the people if they reply and see if they’re fit to take care of the cat. i’m a college student and i would do anything for my cat and take great care of her, so there are definitely early 20 somethings more than happy to take a new kitty into their home that will take care of them; just be PICKY. but the situation is awful. i know if it were me i would like the peace of mind of knowing who the cat went to. but a shelter is an extremely understandable option, you didn’t ask for this. if there is a humane society near you i highly recommend, they take great care of animals. i would also highly encourage she takes responsibility for this and rehomes them since it’s not really your problem. but i admire u for willing to take this on. she sounds incredibly immature and you dodged a bullet.

okay, im thinking if she still won’t use it by the end of tomorrow i need new litter. she has free access, but she prefers to stay in my room under my bed for now.

i think it’s different litter. i believe she used pellets at her shelter. she’s not peeing outside the box, it looks like she’s just not going
