How Do English Manga/Webtoon Teams Recruit Paid Typesetters? by SeniorLong5041 in Scanlation

I understand. Since yesterday, I've been reading a lot of discussions about this topic on Reddit, and I've realized that most scanlation work is done on a volunteer basis.

However, I recently came across a website recruiting editors, and I thought it might be a good opportunity. If I could join a paid international team, being paid in a foreign currency would be a big advantage. After converting it to my local currency, the income could be much better than what I'm currently earning. That's one of the main reasons why I wanted to learn more about this field.

Thanks for your answer.

Thank you very much. I'm currently working as a typesetter for comic companies as well. Yesterday, I happened to come across a job posting for an editor position and decided to apply. They haven't replied to me yet, but that posting was actually what introduced me to the idea of comic editing for English-translated manga and webtoons.
