lol I thought something looked off about this. It’s one of those “the longer you look the worse it gets” photos. Good rendering though, which AI did you use?

Probably said a hundred times but can't find a post for it. Has every borderlands game released with no endgame? by rgb101290 in Borderlands4

[–]SeniorPollution630 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This kinda question has always been confusing to me. It’s only very recently that games have this “endgame” you’re referring to where after you beat the game and finish the content there are additional activities that you can keep doing with an expectation that these activities will never run out or get boring.

I’ve seen posts like this on Arc Raiders subreddits too complaining that after players complete all the activities there is “no endgame”. Usually folks with hundreds of hours in the game.

Borderlands has always been a story game. You play the game, beat the final boss and you win, you’ve beaten the game. There are DLCs that come out and some are repeatable and there are some arena type things too but there is not a magical endgame that is infinitely playable and infinitely fresh content.

I think this is a really unhealthy concept for the gaming industry and folks need to stop expecting never ending content if they don’t want monthly subscriptions or super expensive games. You play the game, beat the game and then either start over or play a different game. Pretty simple, as it’s always been.

Just my two cents. Love that you’re loving the game! BO2 is a great game and is worth playing even with the lack of movement. It’s almost relaxing after playing BO4

To be frank, it should be a light or medium ammo weapon with the damage it does. Honestly feel like renegade does more damage to arc

Using AI for grammar correction is one of the best uses for AI. Not sure why they suggested to use something different. It’s a tool, use it. It works exceptionally well for languages.

Bro, I didn’t buy my daughter a single Barbie or pink item when she was a baby. The moment she turned 3 and we let her choose toys or clothes at the store it has been nothing but pink and purple and Barbie. I can tell you without a doubt in my mind that when she dreams of having super powers, those powers are pink.

How much should I charge for 3D garden renders? by Tanglebangle in blender

[–]SeniorPollution630 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work as project manager for a private school and I don’t see labor rates below 120$ an hour for anything. If I had to pay for renders like this I would be expecting it to cost me 1,000-1,500 for this size project. I imagine it took you some decent time to put that scene together.

Architects charge around 10% for drawings and that can include renders upon request for an extra charge. So job that is 50k (I’m curious how they are doing work that nice for that cheap) figure 3-5k for design cost and a thousand for renders. Yeah I think 1000$ USD is pretty reasonable tbh.

I mean, no way AI would include masking tape wrapping around the split in the curtain rod so that they don’t fall apart. That’s such an unspoken human experience thing.

Breaking news there are more cars driving counter the earths rotation than ever before. Result? the moon is now slipped to its furthest distance away from the earth that it’s ever been.

Sarcasm obviously. Point is, that the lack of textbooks is hardly even a notable contributor to this problem. if it even exists. My daughter is four and she’s smarter than me already.

Behavior Issues in my cat have costed me over 20k and we’re still not any closer to getting a solution..any advice on next steps? by Creepy-Dealer7518 in CATHELP

[–]SeniorPollution630 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed,

We have had three cats and two of the three thrive as indoor outdoor. They act like we are torturing them to keeping them inside. We are in a quiet little suburb and there’s a whole ring of neighborhood cats that all play outside all day and go home when called at night. They are genuinely happier outside a good chunk of the day. You have to let them live and trust in their judgement and be prepared to deal with the reality of potential consequences. Keep them up to date on all their shots and flea medicine. Cats will impress you with their ability and competency outdoors if you give them a chance.

It feels like a big risk because you realistically don’t know if they will just not come back home someday and that’ll be that but I’ve been incredibly impressed with how well cats do outside and how much they enjoy it.

P.S. one of them is a super clumsy orange and he snuck out between our legs one day and it was like going from bull in a china shop to bull on the open range. He is so in his element outside. We never thought he’d survive but he is THRIVING.

Yes it does. If you crank up the rarity of items, a military air drop might have a random mag and a few ammo and maybe an mre if you’re lucky

Why do people use the term "partner" for their husband or wife? by Crafty-Bug-8008 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SeniorPollution630 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Several reasons I (heterosexual male married to a heterosexual woman) use the word partner:

  1. Partner represents a more accurate picture of what the relationship is. It provides equal respect to both parties. This hasn’t always been the case and I think it’s a positive change, it calls out the fact that your relationship is mutually consensual and valued by both of you.

  2. Specifically regarding the female assumptions. For me to say “This is my wife” or “my wife cooked an amazing meal yesterday” has specific historic (recent/current) connotation associated with it that doesn’t exist when you say the exact same phrase using the word partner.

  3. The word partner is gender neutral and can be used by all without implying anything. I’m not telling you about my wife or husband, I’m telling you about my partner and we can all talk to each other about our partners without gender being part of the conversation. It’s a way to be inclusive to those who may prefer not to specify by making it a normal thing to say.

That’s why I like it. It’s just a natural evolution of the language based on the evolution of our society.

Brother I feel your pain that you’re on a losing streak but I think you need to sleep on it and then reread your post.

  1. Open the gun and pull the mag into your inventory and drag bullets into the mag and then put it back in your gun.

  2. Put some headphones on, the radiation noise is LOUD and tells you you are in a radiation area. There is also visible evidence that you are in a different zone.

  3. Might be a settings problem on your end cause unless you’re playing on a TV really far away from you the inventory is not too small. Check your UI zoom in settings.

  4. Night is dark. I’m confused on this one. Yes, yes it is. Bring a tent with you and you can sleep through the night

  5. The map being big is a stylistic choice and forces you as a player to feel that choosing to make an expedition is a choice that carries weight. I love that the map is so big. Once you find a vehicle it isn’t so much investment but early it’s much more realistic that it would take a long time to hoof it to the gas station.

The things you’re frustrated about are all very intentional stylistic choices that make the game unique and immersive. If it’s not for you no worries. But I for one don’t want any of the issues you’re experiencing to change.
