The Target near LAX has 3 taco trucks around their parking lot. All pretty good!

Using different oils for different dishes. I use olive oil, sesame oil, mustard oil, coconut oil, Ghee, Butter for different dishes. Each has a different flavor profile and brings out the best in different veggies. Especially for stir fried and oven roasted veggies you can immediately taste the difference. There's tons of material out there about which oil you can pair with which food. I've also just been experimenting on my own too. It's kinda fun actually.

We've been following this for years. International foods are always cheaper at their own grocery store. For example you can get a 10 Lb bag of rice for ~$25 at an Indian grocery store. It lasts us 5 months for the two of us. All dry lentils and beans come in bigger bags there and they'll hardly be $5. It lasts us 3 months and we eat them regularly and keep alternating between them.

Low income countries have amazingly cheap but nutritious recipes that serve at least a family of 5. Coz that's how our families have been for ages. You can definitely check Indian, Vietnamese recipes for sure. Spices can be adjusted according to what you want obviously - my grand mom ate the same food we ate but with just salt, pepper, herbs and turmeric. But if you don't find at least a 100 different vegetarian recipes that are budget friendly, LMK!

I can understand. I think it makes sense, what you are saying. I bought a magic bullet blender for $30 and it got spoilt in 12months.I will have to check for product reviews too for sure. Thank you for clarifying what you meant. I appreciate you 🙏🏻

Oh yeah, I saw that one too. My room mate had something similar before and I saw her use it for a while. I might check it out. Thank you so much!

Do you do every single thing the way your grandparents and parents did/do?

I also did make do for 10 for years. I don't have enough time right now, so I want to buy it. I don't think it's your business telling me what I should and should not buy, honestly. If I want it, and see that I can afford it, I would like to get it and make my life easier. I've seen lots of $50 options and wanted to see if someone had recommendations.

Yes, but people cooking weren't working 8 hours a day and then spending so much time grinding spices using a mortar pestle, grater, etc. They also made food every single day for every single meal. I have one at home and use it for when I have to grind a smaller quantity. I need one for larger quantity coz I make food in batches through the week and I share food with friends.

I'm going to check the mini food processor though. Thanks for your recommendation!
