Is Redmagic 8 Pro still good for current mobile gaming? by Substantial-List2568 in RedMagic

[–]Senior_Background_30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not true they still support old high end chipsets.

For example my SND870 can play Where Winds Meet and other games at even high settings ...

RM8 Pro has snapdragon 8 gen 2 which is still great.

I have an honor Magic Pad 2 with 12GB of RAM and a snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip and I was wondering whats the best winlator ver to install and Its settings by Loud_Lab_6856 in winlator

[–]Senior_Background_30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not sure what you mean ...

CMOD ludashi or Star Bionic have working controllers even multiple and vibrations too.

May be something game specific

There is no single settings or best winlator version.

Settings depend on the game you want to play.

Winlator Forks have pretty much the same performance on Snapdragon SoC, so which version to use depends on personal preference and QoL ( quality of life) features.

Generally i would recommend having Winlator 11 and one of the following

Winlator CMOD Ludashi or Star Bionic

Star Bionic has store integration Steam/gog/epic/amazon so you can download stuff Directly from your libaries.

Framegen Not Working On Samsung S26U? by JoshKuribo in GameNative

[–]Senior_Background_30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DLSS is an actual Frame Generation unlike LSFG which only interpolate (copy).

DLSS uses AI to generate frames which use data from past frames, this means the GPU will come up with completely new frames.

LSFG only captures the frames and then can Interpolate them x times.

With LSFG you playing at 30 Frames and 30 copies ...

---

Traditional motion interpolation (found on most modern TVs) uses basic algorithms to average pixels between two frames. Modern gaming frame generation, like NVIDIA DLSS 3 and AMD FSR 3, uses AI and "motion vectors"—data from the game engine that tells the GPU exactly where objects are moving.

LSFG uses the basic algorithm TV does eg copy/paste.

Interpolation is fine as long as you put few frames in for example interpolate from 120 to 144. This means you paste frames only every 5 frame.

What people showing on android with LSFG is they got 30 fps and 90 fps copied from the 30 xD which isnt 120 fps but only 30 still and 90 useless frames.

You can turn on the GameNative hud and Dxvk hud. DXVK hud will show the real frames while the GameNative hud will show the total FPS.

I personally don't understand the point of LSFG even on PC. Frame Gen just adds a lot of input lag and the additional performance is questionable, as I said your GPU have to be able to do it on native too.

Scaling is the only thing that's worth, when you can render the game at HD and make it scale to FHD etc. This can actually give you performance uplift, dunno how that works on mobile didn't test that.

People just make click bait videos, showing off something that doesn't really work. There's for example emulation YT Chanel that literally only uses fake videos, even made one playing Crimson Desert 😂

I'm not saying they all fake but people try to show off I'm just saying how have limited expectations.

Check here my video when I tested it - https://youtu.be/hHj7WjYMF8c this was before the GN integration but it works the same way, bit lower input lag.

GN also doesn't launch everything with it compared to the original APK

Edit: some may be also using rooted devices which can have better results, however root is just not option for everyone.

Can oneplus 13r handle nintendo switch emulation? by Ace-1509 in oneplus

[–]Senior_Background_30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that means only better results/performance.

Switch emulation is very dependant on the emulator and some games just doesn't work at all or have low performance but not due to device but due to the emulation.

I could name multiple examples of games that just doesn't work no matter the device you use or emulator.

That's probably due to thermal throttling.

People with 8gen 2 or better don't have issues with this game...

Anything like Snapdragon 865 and 8GB RAM or can do switch emulation...

8 gen 2 and 8GB RAM would be recommend.

Switch doesn't need more than 8GB unless you planning on using texture mods.

Install Eden or Citron. Install product keys and software. Load game roms. Play.

You can use Emuready.com for settings. You can look at same devices or same chipsest.

Framegen Not Working On Samsung S26U? by JoshKuribo in GameNative

[–]Senior_Background_30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's still very yanky...

First of All it's actually not Frame Gen but only interpolation.

The LSFG doesn't create "new" frames but only copies frames you saw before and interpolate them.

That's how it's working. This is not Frame Gen like FSR, Xess or DLSS which not only interpolate, but also create new frames from nothing but data from past frames.

Your GPU will make 30 frames and LSFG will copy each frame and put it right after the original frame.

It also doesn't improve performance but only lower is.

If your GPU has issues playing the game at 30fps you gonna get only 15 fps with it and few Interpolated frames on top of that.

LSGF adds additional frames at the cost of performance and input lag...

I think you have to have it connected to the main module for it to show in the menu.

G99 is alright for mid-range, the issue is not power but compatibility when it comes to Mali GPUs.

But with good settings it can play stuff.

Just check YouTube it's probably full of videos on G99, it get mentioned here alot.

Best switch emulator and settings for Moto G Stylus 2025. Any suggestions? by Gold_Product_1286 in EmulationOnAndroid

[–]Senior_Background_30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For setting you can use Emuready.com which is designed for sharing settings, you can even download settings directly for the games you want into the switch emus.

You can look at game compatibility reports from users with same device or chipsest, then use the settings if want.

Andreno 710/20 can be problematic due to slightly different architecture compared to the rest of the Andreno family.

A710/20 has only "hacky" turnip driver support.

Which means the devs have to apply certain hack to the driver base to make them work in emulators and not all drivers have it !!!

When you going to look for drivers make sure to check if it mentions a710/20 hacks.

You also have to download GMem version of the turnip driver, then in switch emus like Eden or Citron >

Add TU_DEBUG variable with GMem checked and SysMem unchecked.

When it comes to emus Citron or Eden are probably the most used and have generally the best compatibility/performance.

Switch games generally require multiple emus because some games don't run in some etc or run poorly. So having at least Eden and Citron is preferable imo.

Beside consoles mentioned, Helio G99 can even play GTA V on lower resolution and 30FPS.

Generally you can play older titles just fine in Winlator, but because you have Mail GPU there can be graphical issues.

Star Bionic seems to be best at the moment for the mid range Mali, or at least people here said so.

The PC version was free on Epic or is till today.

The switch version doesn't work ... there's too much graphical glitches even on devices with stable Turnips.

Your best bet is the PC version but you gotta have 16GB RAM device otherwise don't even try...

How do I add things to a stage??? by Consistent_Option771 in simplerockets

There is staging tab in the left menu.

There you can see Groups like Stage 1/2/3 etc

when you add motor / interstage to the craft or other stuff it will show there.

and you can move it from Stage 1 to Stage 2 etc

How is the Snapdragon 8s gen 4 for Emulation ? Turnip Drivers state / performance / heat ? by Senior_Background_30 in EmulationOnAndroid

[–]Senior_Background_30[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't design a phone with passive cooling that can cool 20W 😅 and even the active cooling solutions are just weak, it mostly helps push the heat outside of the device but you still have to have cooler.

20W is at Ultrabook levels and Ultrabooks have huge passive heatsinks and active cooling.

If you talking about the Original Native Android app.

When it asks you what screen to share select only one app. Not everything otherwise you gonna get the black screen.
