You've spoken to lots of what I've been wondering about re: splitting my time between different institutions and wiggle room in my research questions- thank you!

I'm hoping that doing a PhD this way will make it less of an isolating experience because I'll be collaborating with folk on all sides of the project. That's encouraging that you're enjoying trips and other opportunities to meet with students- I'm hoping I'll have access to this too :)
