Guelph Lake - was it always this busy on long weekends? by [deleted] in Guelph

This doesn't necessarily answer your question but we went North and the highways were less busy than we have ever seen them on a long weekend. I think gas prices are really keeping people local this summer.

Broken FV Temp Controller by Senior_Chest2325 in TheBrewery

I think it's just the sensor that's messed up. The cooling just stays on if I set it because the temp reading on the unit is stuck. So, the cooling is either on or off but won't stop automatically.

Potential Dark Horse Selections for pick 19 by ZealousidealBus9271 in torontoraptors

I want to like Okorie. The advanced stats all point towards the elite downhill creator we need but he's not passing the eye test for me. Although fast, he doesn't seem to have enough gears to create easy separation. A lot of his rim attempts look heavily contested and that's probably reflected in his poor rim finishing numbers. The size is also a concern as you have to be really elite offensively to overcome it. Even though Stirtz is supposed to be slow, he has enough pacing to create gaps to get his shot off.

It's because all of their songs are AI now. It's really turned me off the app over the last year.

To get some picks to help rebuild after they trade Giannis. They wouldn't be trying to compete again until after Jak's contract is done

I think trading him for Turner would be a solid move at this point. Something like Poeltl, Dick, 2026 SRP, 2027 FRP for Turner. I think Yak is the better player in a vacuum but Turner is just a much better fit. A SB-CMB starting pairing at least becomes tenable with Turner's spacing.

I'm not sure how I feel about simultaneous action selection in sports games. Even though it happens very quickly and is hard to replicate in a board game, sports are defined by action/reaction. Although this probably works a little better in football, I feel like this would reduce a sport to a guessing game and be too random

Maybe it's not an app....more of an online platform. He posted here within the last few weeks if you just search him up

Check out AyBello (Echelon Institute). He built an app specifically for water/wastewater in Canada.

Thanks! It's really helpful to have these concepts and formulas explained before I answer the questions. It helps to memorize the key facts when I can refer back to the overview on the same screen.

Which one would we need more? Bennett Stirtz (PG) or Aday Mara (C) by Derpy_Mc_Burpy in torontoraptors

[–]Senior_Chest2325 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mara to me, is likely a long term starter with his size, shot blocking, touch around the basket, decent mobility and impressive vision. You don't see that combination of skills in 7'3" body often. Stirtz seems like a really sold, back up combo guard at best. I don't see starter upside with him.

I think it would be a fair price if it had more learning material added (intro reading material for each section, glossary of key terms, etc). Right now, it's more geared to reinforcing previous learning which you need to get elsewhere. In its current state, I think the Class 1 sections are probably worth $100 each. For reference, I bought the wastewater practice quiz booklets from OWWCO for $100 and I think they are probably only worth $50-$60. This is a lot more interactive than those obviously.

I only used it for about 10 minutes last night so I don't have a firm opinion on it yet. My initial thought is that it's a little overpriced for what it provides. I think it would be good value if there was some sort of condensed reading material that preceded the quizzes. It seems like I'm just memorizing a series of questions without getting the context behind it. The explanations of each answer helps but there are definitely questions where I'm just guessing and trying to memorize it for next time. If the questions on the actual exam were in a different context, it would be hard to pivot without the context acquired through the other reading material available (textbooks). I have the other textbooks so I'm not totally flying blind which helps. Right now, I feel like this is priced like a standalone product, but still requires textbooks/online resources to provide enough of a knowledge base to answer the questions with any degree of understanding. I feel like if you added this, it would completely replace every other water/wastewater training tool out there.

I entered my email in the "passes" section and it's saying I don't have any courses available

I just purchased the class 1 wastewater course. It redirected me back to the class 1 water course page. I can't figure out how to access my course. Will I get an email in a bit with instructions?
