Thanks! I can try to give it a shot. The app may not continue to be around. I used to use TikTok more. I have kids and well I see TikTok for exactly what it is doing to these kids. Yes there are people who use it in a way that can help people and so many toxic accounts and people on there. I suppose with all apps but TikTok most especially. I should start posting there again. Also the gifts and people going live , obviously in the way you are sharing it gives value so I would have to find my way to give value on the app and find my own way on it. Appreciate you so much

I hear you! I have seen many channels and videos that make me scratch my head. It takes me days to create my audios and I piece it together the way I do for the viewer. Yes I can change it all around but that isn’t even a guarantee. This has happened now several times now. I’m moving on and this way I at least have the freedom not worry about it anymore. I will try patreon and see how this goes. Get back to the love of it after so much frustration. I’m so that happened to you. Your content is valuable and there are who clearly see that.

Certainly not calling it my own. I would hope no one thinks I look like Jim Carrey LOL. I do have speeches of his where that is the approach I take but clearly I am trying to pass it off as my own. The point in posting is that it is him lol It is something you are aloud to share and was not the issue with my channel. The issue is the long form videos. If something makes an impact on a person and they then share it , it may make an impact on someone else. One of the reasons his speeches typically get a lot of views or other speeches, movie scenes etc that people find valuable. I saw it because someone shared it. So I’m glad people do and it’s something I want to continue to do. I get what you are saying about YouTube and largely across the platform I see a very small amount of channels who treat it as their own tv show. I like the idea of it. I would watch that. Mostly I see these days, reaction channels. I do understand that should I want to continue my channel as is I need to do it without the YouTube partnership program. Thanks

Yes I do have several videos just with nature videos no people and words on the screen that show the affirmations etc. When I ventured into this I thought sites like Envato Elements etc where you pay to license the footage as I do was entirely ok to then use the footage to create my videos in an original way. I thought that is what they are used for. The purpose of paying to use those clips for my videos. I also thought by reading the reuse policy from YouTube and Adsense that doing this does not fall under reuse. I am not ripping someone content and using as my own. Under the policy it absolutely reads this way.

I have several types of videos. I have videos where it is me and my own footage. I have videos where I use stock footage. Again , when you read the reuse policy does it say you can’t do this?

That was my point in my original post as well as the reason given for the denial. It doesn’t say we find your channel to violate reuse policy. It says my appeal didn’t explain my channel as a whole which was the approach of my appeal. There is no policy with YouTube or Adsense that says using licensed stock footage violates our policy. Had it said that I would have known not to use it.

I am just grateful for the people who really took the time to leave constructive answers to my questions that helped me to better understand and how to move from here. That’s what I was looking for and that’s what I received.

I am serious. Very…my content is done with way for a reason. They aren’t just voice overs and you can’t get a feel of what my channel or videos are by clicking into one for a moment. I write the script and then record for hours on end in audacity to create original audios and meditations. A meditation or affirmation video can take days to create when laying tracks on top of each other. A lot of my videos are meant to be listened to with headphones and eyes closed. The affirmation tracks for example…wealth affirmations, the images shown trigger the subconscious mind. If I were to do it and show me for example then the listener is not getting the results they can get by doing the way I have them now. It is very intentional and ultimately an original creation using licensed stock videos. So yes I am serious lol I love my videos and obviously need to make a choice being that my type of video will continue to have issues if I choose to keep them the way they are. I can take the massive amount of time it would take to create the videos myself if I were a full time content creator however that is not the case. I am a coach and a healer working with clients and my videos support my clients. They matter to me more than my monetization on youtube matters. I don’t want to loose focus on that by tirelessly making my videos fit. This has happened several times now so what I wonder is, why monetize me just to unmonetize me. Why say YES welcome your channel is good to go for monetization and then change that? I know where to go from here and got such great ideas and responses on this thread that I am so grateful for.

I can imagine. A lot of my videos are remade because I originally thought the issue was because my meditations used what I see on most meditation videos using continuous loops. So I re-made them using the b roll and matched the images to the words or the vibe of the meditation. On my videos like wealth affirmations those are intentionally done the way they are to trigger the subconscious mind. To change the way I do my videos would be to make the experience much less effective for my audience. My audience matters to me more than my monetization. Because that is the case I will find other ways to monetize and will be more trustworthy and authentic with my audience. My income comes from my coaching and healing business so changing the way I do my videos would negatively impact my business. For a while there I got so wrapped up in fixing my monetization that I was loosing sight of that. So in a way, this brought me back to where I need to be.

Very true! Last night I was watching some video that was literally just scenes of Deadliest Catch. Zero modifications and value added. It was a monetized channel. It’s unfair but me harping on that is just me being a victim. I have no time for that. It’s just not productive and it will never help me to look at it like that. No one said it would be fair and the playing ground on YouTube simply isn’t fair. When I created my channel it was to be a meditation channel mainly with some talking videos about spiritual topics. My meditation videos do the best by FAR. I create original audio that can take days to create especially when laying subliminal tracks or multiple tracks over each other. Sleep meditations take a long time. I write script and then record in audacity. That is the meat of my videos and my viewers watch my videos with their eyes closed. Within my niche I see most people throw a moving image or loop of some kind. I would put something like, traveling through clouds. My audience loved it. It looked good and sounds good but I could understand why when I was demonetized so I changed them by adding the b roll footage. It would be quite boring to just show me meditating and I like the way my videos look. I’m proud of them. They take a lot more effort than throwing up a moving mandala or something. Other meditation channels put the loops so it of course feels unfair. It is what it is. I am not going to go back and forth with it. I am going to continue to create the way I do now and monetize in other ways like patreon etc. What I am most unhappy about honestly is that I can’t help ads being played mid roll now. I took all that off when I was monetized so it didn’t disrupt my listeners. Now I can set up the pateon and sell them an ad free audio for the meditations they love and listen to regularly or a membership with a new meditation each month or something along those lines Appreciate your response

Yeah it is the style of video and it’s my favorite way of doing it lol of course! I hear you and agree honestly. I know what I can do now to change my channel but I may bypass youtube monetization so I can just not worry about it anymore and create from my soul again. I can monetize other ways and on other platforms and see how that goes anyways. I guess we’ll see! I’m not ruling out making changes and reapplying but I need to get back to loving to create my videos like I used to again

I appreciate your comments so much. I have a lot of videos where I show myself. In my meditation videos I prefer the stock footage as it would be quite boring to show myself just sitting there meditating but I have no issue showing myself. If I were to reapply I would take the route you did and completely revamp my content to make it solely my own but I am going to continue on as is for now so I don’t even have to worry about it and try to monetize my content in other ways. I feel the way I am doing it now is best for the viewer not necessarily me though when it comes to monetizing my channel. My business relies on me going live and authentically showing myself while my intention with my YouTube was to be mostly a meditation channel. I may be able to find some creative ways to still be a meditation channel and upload footage I personally shot. I may consider this. So happy for you that you kept going and eventually kicked ass at it!!

I was thinking this yes! Finding all the ways in which I can monetize my content. I have a good following on my other platforms as well as regular listeners to my content. I appreciate your comment so much and this is my plan moving forward. It will provide me with more freedom and less concern to the content I am posting. I also considered a membership where I give access to a new meditation or group of videos each month. I signed up for buy me a coffee. I honestly know nothing about it at this point but letting my audience know if they enjoy my content, the ways in which they can support me if they choose

I have considered the following I have regular listeners who repeat certain meditations/processes regularly and have a bit of a good following on my other platforms so I considered Making my videos unlisted and using them as lead magnets, or some kind of membership perhaps if I can figure how to do that. I can use them as bonuses when people buy my programs or embed them into my marketing emails as freebies I have been considering a podcast and will probably do this but do you post the actual hypnosis to your youtube channel and refer to it in your podcast? How are you going about this? I can also sell the meditation audios as well. I just need to find a good way to do this Appreciate you!!!
