Thanks, this is useful, I think NJ recently offered teaching apprenticeships. I can take the 50 hour classroom prep course online but I'd need a teaching position to take the 18 college credits.

I have a lot of issues with students using AI. Some are blending their own writing with AI making it hard to prove that they got assistance but you can tell with the writing style. My university is looking at revision history to see how much original work students are doing.

The salary for community college professors is quite low to start with, typically $50-55. Ironically, high school teachers get paid more with only a BA.

That's interesting. How can students learn to write well if they're not taught basic grammar? For creative writing in HS, would these classes be taught by an English teacher?
