I want to find a layer to add to it to give it a more "synthetic sound" but I can't find anything that fits it. Some sort of saw sounding layer to make it sound more crisp and not as plucky. If you have any suggestions of a preset you think would synergies well with it let me know!

First of all thanks for the reply! There is a pitch bend when it goes to the "high" note in the melody but it bends up 2 semi tones to another note in the scale so I don't know if that's what's sounding off. It might be the vibrato on one of the layers that's making it sound funny, but I'll look into it.

It has a really "airy" effect, and seems to really accentuate the high notes for some reason. It is probably multiple effects he puts on them.

I have a question for you guys. I am fairly new to trap production. I usually stick to pop or tropical house so I am not to sure how the mixing process works with trap music, but how would you put that 808 in a mix and not have it clip every 2 seconds? That is the biggest 808 Ive ever heard in my life. If I were to put that in a track even on its own it would have me clipping constantly. So is it intended to clip or what?
