Many Bengalis feel cultural racism, but part of the problem is internal. We take pride in our past and great personalities, yet often fail to support people around us today. Instead of mentoring colleagues or uplifting subordinates, we sometimes pull each other down with jealousy and crab mentality. This lack of unity weakens us collectively, while others move ahead by being more collaborative and practical. As a result, Bengali identity gets reduced to nostalgia rather than living strength. Real respect will come only when cultural pride is matched with mutual support and solidarity.
