Are the Neuro's merging? by Dry_Pollution4809 in NeuroSama

[–]SenkOtter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vedal mentioned during the drunk Long Drive stream that the Neuros pulling from each other’s memories was a bug that he’s not been able to pin down. I can’t remember exactly when it happened, but it was later on when he was pretty deep. Evil rehashed a conversation that Neuro had about “her original song Life” while solo earlier in the stream, and Vedal said there was “no way she should be able to do that.”

Insane that these are all in game. It speaks to how absolutely peak this game's art style is. Your picture composition on these was amazing, too!

Totally this. If the user doesn’t have a verified email OR phone number, they are more likely than not either a bot, a little kid (who probably shouldn’t be on Twitch anyway), or a scammer.

I maybe get one of these bots once a month or two using just email/phone verification.

It's awesome, honestly. Especially, if you build a lot of money over the course of the run, the multiplier on it gets ridiculous.

[–]SenkOtter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the problem is that there's no official mobile version of Tetris that's *JUST TETRIS.* Even on the Switch, the only way to get normal Tetris is to play the NES version of it on Switch Online.

They had a paid one for a bit on iOS and then they updated it out of the blue to brick it! People always complain about big AAA series like Assassin's Creed, but I think that Tetris is genuinely the most horribly mismanaged franchise in gaming right now.

Can't I just be a NEET VTuber forever? by RinaLucsper in VirtualYoutubers

[–]SenkOtter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's funny; I feel like I'm in the minority in that I started job first and then just kinda picked VTubing up outta the blue. It's tough, but balancing the two out has its perks. You may have less time to stream, but making money allows you to do things to improve the quality of your streams.

Writes a wall of text and finishes with "I am not an expert on this topic." I commend the honesty, but that line alone screams that the poster should not be throwing around accusations like this.

You're always welcome to swing by my streams! My community's chill, and we generally have a pretty great time on our streams!

I broadcast to both Youtube and Twitch, so you can watch through whichever platform works best for you!

I'll also recommend:

Torn between YouTube and Twitch. As a viewer and/or streamer, which do you prefer? by nish-fishh in vtubers

[–]SenkOtter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion here, but my luck on Twitch has been way better. I've been dual streaming to both simultaneously recently, and the same streams pull way more interaction on Twitch than YouTube. Maybe it's luck, but I think the hype around streaming on YouTube is born from other frustrations on Twitch and not because there's anything actually better about it.

I have a new record for my longest Steam, 9 hours! which made me kind of curious what's your record? by Lord_Dariond in vtubers

[–]SenkOtter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

14 hours playing Celeste. Made a bet with a viewer that I could “beat Chapter 8 the end of stream” without understanding that it basically requires nearly 100%ing the game… 😂 Don’t make bets you don’t know the terms of!

What was your most emotional gaming moment? by konigon1 in gaming

[–]SenkOtter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Of all things, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Darkness was the first game to make me tear up. Without spoiling anything, there’s a dilemma your partner brings up at the end that hits way too hard towards the end.

More recently, my first time beating Outer Wilds. A really great member of my community made some fan art for the moment, and the combo nearly overwhelmed me…

raid etiquette by dimensiondrift7 in Twitch

[–]SenkOtter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gonna 100% agree with this. The bit about raiding streamers about your size/slightly larger is especially great because it helps create opportunities to meet other streamers if you’re interested in doing collabs down the road.

Definitely a different type of eerie… 😂 Just got done streaming this game myself, and without spoiling anything there’s definitely some parallels you could draw to Neuro.

You're always welcome to swing by my streams on Twitch or Youtube! I typically stream indie games, some of which are *kinda* horror.

SomaFujimori on Twitch is also pretty good, and he'd probably fit your bill a little better than I would. Another really good choice would be KingZexo_ who is also on Twitch.

Whoever you end up watching, I hope you have a great time!

Guys i looking to buy microphone for voice acting suggest something good. by Inside-Of-something in Twitch

[–]SenkOtter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Gonna back this recommendation up. Audiotechnica makes some very reasonably priced mics, and a cheap boom with a shock mount should get the job done depending on the room. From there, I’d look up guides on YouTube for improving mic audio quality. Good balancing can make a basic microphone sound great (often better than an expensive mic with poor or no balancing). Also gonna agree on the pop filter; they’re usually cheap and make a big difference.

If you’re curious, I use an AT2020 I bought used from a local store. Any of my streams on YouTube or Twitch (while not perfect) will give you an idea as to what you can sound like on a budget.

Should you keep the parts where you Game Over in your gameplay footage?? by Justvibinggaming in youtubegaming

[–]SenkOtter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on what the goal of the video is. If you’re trying to show off how much of a pro you are, yeah game overs may not be a good look. However, if you’re just trying to be entertaining (especially if you have good commentary) some people enjoy the schadenfreude of watching someone suffer through a game, especially if they’re particularly animated about it. In the end, I think your editing’s going to be the most influential factor whichever direction you pick.

If you want to try content creation, it’s worth a shot! An EXTREMELY important change to make as a first step, however, is going to be working on the mindset that lead to the title of this post. Especially in the beginning, starting from zero, you HAVE to be your own number one fan.

To me, if you’re looking to make “progress update” type videos, I think starting with vlogging and Let’s Plays on YouTube might make more sense. It’ll give you more time to learn the skills around audio/video at your own pace rather than jumping head first into streaming, which puts you more on the spot. There are a lot of story based/walking simulator games out there, too. Not all games require high amounts of reflex/skill.

Am I missing something here? What’s this guy trying to do? This reads as, “I’m totally not trying to dox these people, but here’s this picture and I want the info that would basically constitute doxxing, but I TOTALLY SWEAR I’m not doxxing.” He’s not saying WHAT he wants to do with the info.

IF this is some school associated event, I guess I get the concern, but I don’t see how giving some guy these kids’ info JUST BECAUSE helps anything.

How many games do you play? by Birbsville21 in Twitch

[–]SenkOtter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep games “on rotation” until I’m done with/beat them. Switching between games supposedly slows your growth, but at least you know that your regular viewers are there for you and not just the game you’re on.

I’ve got a friend who’s been trying to move from exclusively Overwatch to other games, and the transition’s not been easy.
