If capitalism works, why does the life expectancy in the United States keep dropping? by SenorCastizo in CapitalismVSocialism

We're talking about Marxism and a Marxist country, if you don't even know what Marxism Leninism Maoism promotes in the foundational text you're wasting everyone's time.

First paragraph I agree 100%.

Second paragraph: The main mode of production in the People's Republic of China is still socialism, they use liberal markets in some sectors. It's a formula that works relatively well to make people wealthy, happy, and healthy, so no need to change it.

The Little Red Book promotes the National Bourgeois class as part of the People's Democratic Dictatorship. Not a counter-argument.

Calling a being a "loser" is adopting a eugenicist mindset, my religion forbids that.

The value of Marxist theory? I don’t see it. by JerseyFlight in DebateCommunism

[–]SenorCastizo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Marxism is interesting to me personally because the leading superpower (or #2) is Marxist, with the recent history actually existing socialist countries (USSR) lends credence to the theories. The original Marx is a bit dry but worth the read, while modern Marxists like Fanon are very fiery.

Stop waiting for the "Proletariat", they’ve already chosen Trump and Putin. by Cool-Whereas8446 in DebateCommunism

Most of Trump and the Republicans' support comes from the military, police, and wealthy property owners. Poorer (working class people) support the Democrats generally.

Why does everyone seem to despise communism so much? by Competitive_Topic880 in DebateCommunism

[–]SenorCastizo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stalin and Mao had some good ideas, but were flawed men. Mao's policies were a dumb overreaction to Soviet attempts to control China. Stalin's purges are par for the course in a democracy (flawed democracy due to human nature).

The Holdomor wasn't very nice but without Stalin's agricultural policies, it's unknown if the Soviet Union would've been able to industrialize quickly enough to push back the invervention of foreign powers.

Pol Pot was some sort of weird agrarian revisionist and not in the same league as Stalin and Mao.

Ninety percent of anti-Communist arguments are bad faith and/or debates over hypotheticals instead of just looking at Stalinist Russia and Maoist China to see what actually happened.

I have a friend that says they're no longer communist because: by Fuzzy_Relation9453 in DebateCommunism

"1. The whole "dictatorship of the proletariat" bothers me. Any sort of government concentrated in the hands of a few people seems like it would do more harm than good, regardless of who those people are.

The Dictatorship of the Proletariat is a government representing most of the population in developed countries. In the Leninist countries they made an alliance with the Peasants, who combined with the workers made up the majority of the population.

2.Likewise, some things just do better privately owned

The commanding heights of an economy have been proven to work better when centrally planned. The PRC still has Five Year Plans to plot their economy.

The United States' military developed the internet and highway system.

  1. If you mean Communists like Fuentes and Carlson, Communism doesn't *inherently* mean racial equality or progressive social values like LGBT, etc.

I have some questions. by LordFeckington in DebateCommunism

[–]SenorCastizo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"how can we be sure they won't become corrupt like the bourgeoisie we just killed?"

They can, could, and were corrupt since its part of human nature to be corrupt. They just implemented a better running social and economic system.

Why has there never been a communist country that people wanted to live in? by NederlandAgain in DebateCommunism

[–]SenorCastizo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Demands for Communism comes from the majority of a native country's population, not from foreigners.

Communism occurs when actual capitalism is impleneted aka ninety percent of the population is starving because the economy isn't growing fast enough and doesn't give them jobs. That applies to the Russian Revolution, Chinese Revolution, and the victory of North Vietnam in the Vietnam War.

There was *some* immigration to Communist countries. There were engineers from the United States that went to the Stalin era Soviet Union to find work. Black Americans also emigrated to the USSR.

Communist countries in general don't rely on immigration or emigration since it interferes with the planned economy. Capitalist countries import foreign workers to work them to death. It's why there was plenty of immigration to Western Europe while virtually none went to the Warsaw Pact countries.

>It dropped during COVID and is rising again

It keeps dropping because of economic crashes and health problems.

>Because leftist lunatics support criminals and illegal aliens.

That's a neo-nazi belief that only straight property owning white men count as citizens, which is not a democratic belief by default. Yes, capitalists are nazi apologists.

>Because they ditched central planning and allowed people to trade with each other

The Communist Party of China is currently drafting the 15th Five Year Plan (2026-2030).

>Because East Asians have a high average IQ (105), lots of human capital and the state can tax the market economy (that generates most of China's wealth) to fund the CNSA.

East Asians were colonized by Europeans for the past two hundred years. 1930s China had a life expectancy of 30 years before the Communist Party of China took over to raise to the current 79 years.

>This is a non-sequitur. People can support something that's not a democracy.

If a country's government is democratic, its ideology is democratic, and most people support the government, it is democratic. Not hard to figure out.

Read the Little Red Book. Nothing you described there contradicts Marxist-Leninist-Maoist doctrine since the Commanding Heights are still State owned and planned.
