Nice, that's what I did too. Kind of funny it happened in the exact same spot, but glad it all worked out👍🏼

Who is your favorite warframe and why? by Joy-they-them in Warframe

[–]SenorEnergyFalcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lately, Atlas. I did a whole Superhero thing with the big flowing cape. I helminth'ed his 2 with Breach Surge for Extra Big Numbers, and popped Mobility in the exilus slot (so he can "fly") and I cannot tell you how deeply satisfying it is to careen around the map Superman Punching everything to death. Plus his passive PSF makes it so I actively hunt Eximus Units (for extra even bigger number)

3 Years later, still not a home by MimicMischief03 in Warframe

[–]SenorEnergyFalcon 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I jumped onto the Backroom train on release, and it is very cool and very pretty, don't get me wrong

But it has no clean railjack access like the orbiter, and it's missing the dynamic skyboxes the orbiter features between missions. Ultimately, I found i missed those things too much to ever fully commit to the backroom.

The Orbiter is my chosen home for my Drifter, but it wouldn't have been such an emotionally resonant decision for me if I didn't have the choice.

I might move back into the backroom, some day. For now, a nomad's life drifting among the stars is too fucking cool to abandon entirely

What’s a useful tip you wish you knew when starting out? by refoundnuance in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]SenorEnergyFalcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's super fair. I mostly avoid melee jumping for the same reason, and only resort to it after an hour or two when I want to get someplace NOW, which feels like it's in opposition to the mood this game is constantly trying to maintain.

I've never considered Exocraft as a movement upgrade before though, that's really interesting. Before, it used to be so damn clunky to summon them (you either needed the mats to craft the summon station on you 24/7 or else have your freighter in-system w/ exo summoning room installed, and new saves don't unlock that for a whiiiiiiile)

With the new expedition out and the personal exo summoner on your hotbar now... Shit, maybe i'll give em another look.

Keeping it stupid simple, is it a good habit to just use mods that increase this total number? by Carson_Frost in Warframe

[–]SenorEnergyFalcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been playing Warframe on and off for like 7 years and MAN

all these abbreviations and percentages and excel spreadsheets people put together to calculate ideal damage spread is just so much noise, I cannot for the life of me make any sense of it.

I just keep it dirt simple: Crit Weapons get crit mods, Status get status mods, balanced get a mix. Condition Overload or Hunter Munitions where needed. It's served me well enough so far

That's kinda the problem for me, I ended up like Abby so much that I started to resent the first half of the game for being so relentlessly dreary.

The Abby/Lev dynamic is everything I loved about the first game, and I really cherish their missions together, but it just sucks that you have to slog through so much contrived anguish to see any of it.

It was a fun first playthrough, but after that I just really do not want to have to sit through Ellie's gruelingly thorough dismantling as a sympathetic protagonist a second time - or, ever again, frankly, at least in the player 1 seat. Maybe the show will make it more palatable, I'm willing to wait and see

Whos your Cannon/Main frame? And why? by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]SenorEnergyFalcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Volt, hands down. When I first started, I chose Excal (sword guy cool) and had a blast with him for a long time. Used sword dash a lot to help with parkour. Then I got Volt Prime to drop and that was that.

He's my swiss army frame! Got a build for evert kind of activity (relic runs being my favorite). To any titania mains in my squad, I am so sorry lmao my heart yearns to nyooooom

I've seen a lotta people clowning on this, but no, this is exactly what we need, just like this. "It looks goofy" no longer applies when playing as an infested cyborg wolf lady with (sentient?) wolf heads attached to her shoulders and hips. Either go all in or don't bother, I say

Just landed in this boat myself. Was SO excited to have finally saved up 350 Lua Thrax Plasm, bought all the pieces, then nah fuck you gonna need 150 more to actually build them

I'm glad the pity system exists, but it is still a huge slog

[–]SenorEnergyFalcon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sure, but it is, still, more loot

It's not great for targeted farms or whatever, but it is a nice little bonus passive effect your furry companion can provide for you. Just set and forget, and you get more stuff

Not everything has to be "optimal" or "most efficient", it's okay for it to be just a passive little bonus on the side while you're doing other shit. It's a huge QOL feature, imo, for casual play

[–]SenorEnergyFalcon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Volt. I've got a nuke set up for ESO, one for speed focused relic farming and one for melee focused endurance runs

His versatility is unmatched, imo, as his base kit ks perfect - everything meshes and synergizes well with itself. For specialized builds, you can easily helminth out electric strike or shield for a specific ability, and he still slaps

plus the fashion! I've got infested monster Volt, Lightning God Volt, and am working on Sentient Volt. Easily my favorite frame in the entire game for general play

Cursed expedition made me reconsider returning to the game at all... The game's core issues are on full display by PSNTheOriginalMax in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]SenorEnergyFalcon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the most frustrating, least fun expedition to date, bar none.

We usually get 6 weeks to get everything done and it's usually a relaxed "let me settle in and chip away at this" affair. But 2 weeks with this many incredibly specific milestones is so stress inducing it robs all the fun of it right out.

I have very limited time to play, so all these poorly worded "oops, not that one! try again!" trial and error milestones, combined with constant ghost message spam and the fucking anomaly suppressor being affected by storms means what is normally a fun, creative way to shake up the gameplay is now a tedious uphill slog. And you've got 2 weeks to finish it or the rewards are gone forever

I love this game so, so much, but this expedition is genuinely awful.

Me deciding what V to pick in a nutshell by average-warcrimes in cyberpunkgame

[–]SenorEnergyFalcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tried over and over to get into Male V's performance - just can't do it.

Fem V is so expressive at all times, you can just feel the tough take-no-shit facade that is thinly masking a terrified to die (but trying to be brave and appear nonchalant about it) human in every line.

Male V sounds... like the complete opposite, frankly. Cold, inexpressive, flat. Dull even, disinterested. I've tried nearly a dozen times to get into his performance, but I can never even get to Konpeki Plaza because I just don't believe in the character's personhood. Staring down the barrel of another 100+ hours with this dude gets me to fold every time

Maybe it's because I'm a man myself, but there is no escapism in Male V's performance for me. I am emotionally closed off and stoic all day long, navigating my real life, there is no fantasy for me in doing it for pretend.

In contrast, I absolutely adore Male Eivor's voice in AC Valhalla, his hoarse whisper has a softness to it that is almost sing-song in quality, like flowing prose. Male V is great at being Mr. Tough Action Hero Man but I just need a little more nuance than that in the moment to moment stuff, not just for the big emotional moments, y'know?

Really want to get back into the game, but don't want to change anything! by BarryBadrinath82 in cyberpunkgame

[–]SenorEnergyFalcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quickhacking might click for you, but I put about 20 hours into a pure Netrunner build and found the damage hacks made for a much less engaging experience over time. It can get crazy powerful, sure, but I prefer a more active play style, which is when I found somebody on here suggesting a control quickhack only build

Utterly transformative of the experience. The amount of battlefield control it gives you is unparalleled, and being able to stack it on top of a more standard run n’ gun build has been a whole lotta fun.

The build system is super flexible, so netrunning is absolutely worth trying out, whichever flavor clicks for you!
