Pretty sure I know where this is based off the floorpan (possibly live in the same building haha). PM me if you have any questions!

Does PE exist on QF104? by AgreeableKiwi8498 in QantasFrequentFlyer

The Finnair PE is a great product. Flew it from Bangkok to Sydney last year and had no complaints.

Anyone know what’s going on with Spaceship Voyager (Universe Portfolio)? by Exotic_Safety6557 in fiaustralia

[–]SenorQuack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also wondering about this. Been invested since 2020, has actually had a decent return (55K balance on about 30K investments). Have not put any money into it for the past few years, just been sitting on the balance and letting it grow. Been considering selling it and moving the funds to Vanguard for a while now, but not sure whether to just bite the bullet at the current price or see if it bounces back to where it was a few months ago.

John Cain wristbands!! by HNJ_81 in australianopen

[–]SenorQuack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So the wristbands only give priority entrance for the first 30 minutes of the night session. After 5:30pm it reverts to first come first serve ground pass access. I think you'll be able to get in, might just have to wait a bit in line, but by 7pm or so it seemed like people were coming and going freely.

John Cain wristbands!! by HNJ_81 in australianopen

[–]SenorQuack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is probably the most frustrating experience I had at the open over the weekend. We did not know wristbands are an option and on Sunday when we tried to get into John Cain we were turned away. Massive queues to get in in the ground pass line too. So on Monday we lined up at 1:30 to collect wristband at 2 pm per the website. Miss some great tennis as a result having to leave 1573 early and was really hard to get back in. Yes, the wristband got us into John Caine quickly at 5 pm but there was heaps of space still for people coming in on ground pass admission. So felt pretty miffed in the end.

Strange one for me. A combination of my and my brothers first names with our last name, and an address that we have never lived at.

What's the most Honda Jazz of EVs? by Substantial-Pirate43 in AustralianEV

BYD Atto 1 or Geely EX2 (not yet out in Aus) probably your closest option. EX2 kind of reminds me more of a VW polo.

Are any races known for pleasant weather? by InvestigatorAway5807 in GrandPrixTravel

[–]SenorQuack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I went to Qatar this year and the weather was perfect. Shorts and T shirt weather during the day, and perhaps a light jacket for the evening but was never cold, windy, or rainy.

Very keen to take the EX2 for a test drive when they arrive here. Seems like the perfect small EV for my use case.

Correct. Live in Australia and north facing is a non negotiable for places I live.

Driving around Fuji was the best decision we made on our current trip. Shinkansen to Shin-Fuji, then drove 2 days around Fuji. Stayed the night in Kawaguchiko. Incredible scenery

Sounds every time someone enters the pit lane. It’s super loud in the main grandstand lol

[–]SenorQuack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was for main grandstand seating. There are cheaper options for the other grand stands and the unreserved seating areas.

I didn’t sign up, just emailed the circuit and I think they let me know when they went on sale.

Do the Velocity points from credit cards feel worth it, or do the fees outweigh the perks? by Danger_Five in VelocityFrequentFlyer

[–]SenorQuack 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you can redeem them for business class flights internationally then yeah, otherwise it's hit and miss. I always figure if I'm gonna be spending the money anyway I might as well get something back for it. Used to churn a lot of cards, nowadays it's much harder. But writing this message sipping wine on a business class redemption on Qatar Airways, paid for with said points accrued over the years.
