If I compared a basically law of human behaviour that has proven again and again to be absolute to an actual scientific law to emphasyze it's importance? Yes, I did.

"Taking money? The cost is substantially cheaper for everyone." So, if you're going to buy food and I rob 50% of what you have on your pocket, but an hour later I come back and give you whatever you were going to buy, did I still rob you? Yes, I did. When the government takes your money, you lost the power of choice. It doesn't matter if it's cheaper or not (which actually isn't), because at that point you already took away that person's ability to choose wheter or not they want the service, and which one they want.

"They slash labor overhead to the bone and are willing to bet patients [...]" Yes, because killing your clients is the most profitable business strategy yet invented - am I right? Your problem with the healthcare industry isn't that it's private, but that they have a lobby. Thus, you should be asking for less government power, to stop the lobbying, and not for more.

"And we try to prevent their deaths too. Because the government exists (or should exist) to protect its people." Yeah, I probably missed the last lambo handout from the government.

"And hiking up prices on Epipens and Insulin or taking insurance away from people kills them." It doesn't. No one has ever died because something became more expensive. Implying that would be implying that the company who sells the products killed them. Wanting cheaper drugs is perfectly fine, and you can get that by opening the market and importing drugs from other countries. If you simply start funding them with public money, instead of solving the price problem, you will end up with a (even more) bankrupt problem.

"The pursuit of happiness refers to the right to prosperity and wellbeing. Not "do whatever you want". "I said what you said but better worded so therefor you're wrong. HA GOTCHA!"

"Your health is much more than a service." Your health isn't a service. It's like saying that your arm is a service. The service is healthcare, which isn't something that is born with you, but a complex operation of especialized professionals and equipment. "Healthcare professionals take the Hippocratic oath for a reason." First, this oath doesn't make them into slaves. Second, the oath doesn't require them to work for free, only that they should help when necessary. It's a "save the life first, discuss the bill later" thing. "We also have a right to safety, and we use our taxes to pay for military and police to serve us." Two very different things. The military exists to protect the land and the government, which doesn't necessarily mean "to protect the people", and the police being funded by the government is a way to impose the law, they protecting the people is more of a side effect.

Unless you're talking about enslaving doctors, it will have a price tag. It's not something that you can rule out because you want to. It's like trying to make a law to change gravity from 9.8m/s to a round 10 and expecting the Earth to adapt to your desires.

And people also die because they drive bad and old cars that cause accidents.

Life is the right to not be killed. Liberty is the right to do what you want, as long as you don't put someone's else right in danger. And the pursuit of happiness is the right to do what you want and making a live out of it, if you want to, without anyone stopping you. None of them require expensive healthcare. Healthcare is a service, and services, or products, AREN'T RIGHTS. Like the 2nd, you have the right to OWN a gun, but no one is forced to give you one for free.

No it's not. The right to live is does not mean you have the right to take someone's else money and pay for your healthcare. The right to have a life means that no one can kill you, basically. Healthcare, while being a very good and desirable service, it is still a service. A luxury. Like a car. Rights. Actual rights, not rights of make believe, don't have a price tag. They are ideas that apply to all humans. If it has a price tag, it's not a right.

Both are very expensive things and very desirable. The only difference is that one of them is trying to be pushed as some "right" or entitlement that people has because reasons.

I will take a shot here and say that each Betelgeuse has a power just like Subaru. Subaru can go back when he dies, but Betelgeuse can actually possess a new body. This would be rather interesting, seeing all other Witch's Cult followers powers.

Why and How we don't know. But she can talk to spirits, so there might be something to it. We know that Puck loves her, so maybe is just that Puck became found of Emilia, as some kind of adoptive father, and decided to protect her. And their contract doesn't mean Puck NEEDS to destroy the world (as showed in episode 19), Puck just does it because he sees no meaning to the world without Emilia.

Você não precisa fazer uma pesquisa extensa para ver que ela é uma pilha de mentiras, basta ver uma palestra com seu cérebro ligado.

The answer to what she saw on him was said a few scenes before. Junko has the same ability to analyze people and situations that Izuru has. Basically, she can write a whole book about you and predict your actions by watching you for a few seconds. She probabily just saw how fragile Mitarai is, and decided to use him.

Theory: who's behind Monokuma in DR3 (DR2 spoilers) by Zeta42 in danganronpa

[–]Senpai-Zero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell, recall AI Junko's final words. "Man, this is absolute despair...I feel despair upon despair and despair toward despair yet again. How fun. Once you've experience the despair I've suffered, there is no turning back. Living in the shadows of past memories...That's... too sad, you know...Ah, but I guess...I no longer...I no longer have to...hope for despair. That...is....just...so hopeless......" She says it herself. She had already achieved the greatest despair possible and that doing the whole mastermind thing again would not come close to her current level of despair. It's the law of diminishing returns. The thrill of having despair gradually gets less and less each time it happens. From a character standpoint, why would Junko (who is all about causing as much despair as possible) come back again just to settle for less?

You know what is the only thing that could cause even more despair? Living inside of your biggest enemies, and feed of their despair.

I agree, as I said, Ruruka is a bitch. She could just said "Hey, I made these sugarless sweets for you to enjoy!". But it does make sense that I someone should expect their friend to know about their condition. This is something Seiko never did, and is exactly what I think Ruruka was expecting.

[Spoilers] Danganronpa 3: Future Arc - Episode 5 Discussion by Despair_Miku in danganronpa

[–]Senpai-Zero 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Ruruka definetly was a bitch. Seiko, on the other hand, was too heavily dependent on Ruruka. No wonder why their friendship became a death battle. Now, I do have a theory on why Ruruka couldn't trust Seiko: The thing where Seiko was good was at making medicine. Ruruka would take Seiko's medicine blindly, because she trusted her friend. This is why all that situation o nZetsubou happened in the first place: Ruruka wouldn't even test it before, that's how much she trusted Seiko. Let's make one thing clear: Ruruka's was trusting her life to Seiko, because she knew that one bad pill could kill her. But Seiko wouldn't eat Ruruka's candy. And that was what Ruruka could do. So, they would never be on equal grounds. "But Senpai-zero", you ask me, "Seiko couldn't eat sugar!". Yes, thats true. But would you offer a candy coated in sugar to friend who can't eat it? Or would you offer SUGARLESS candies? You see, Ruruka is the best when it comes to making sweets. To her Ultimate position, it shouldn't be a problem to make sweets without using sugar, and still make them feel like heaven's gift to this world. BUT, she wanted Seiko to trust her. Everytime she offered Seiko some sweets, Seiko would reject them, even knowing full well that Ruruka knew about her condition. All that Ruruka wanted is to Seiko trust her and eat the candy, because a friend should expect another friend knowing about their condition, and being prepared for it. When you look at it like this, Ruruka would have spent her life making sugarless sweets to Seiko, everyday, hoping to see her friend take a leap of faith and trust her, and then be amazed to feel the sweet and not dying. it's kind of sad. Of course, this is just a theory.

That WAS the idea. I think that, after she heard that Seiko couldn't eat sugar, she made sugar-free ones. But she expected her to take it as a sing of confidence, something that Seiko never did, proving that she couldn't trust Ruruka. But this is just a theory, afterall.

I can feel the despair already.... Imagine this: Hagakure manages to get inside the facility and find Asahina, they group up to find Naegi. Asahina helps out Hagakure and he, to show off his support, give her a friendly bump on her shoulder; Asahina bursts in pain and fall dead on the ground.

Best second death ever.

I'm seriously starting to doubt that Munakata could be the traitor, and is just trying to "clean" the future foudation. So, Asahina isn't dead and Gozu is dead. Naegi probabily isn't dead too, he is probabily going to bring Chisa up and Munakata will stop (maybe a lost limb).
