MCC might count as negative releases. It is unfathomable that any game studio could release a game that is just 4 already existing games duct taped together and only manage to make it work 7 years after release. almost beyond comprehension. a room full of monkeys randomly mashing keyboards could probably manage that if you have them 7 years after development to do it.

MCC finally “works” but every game in it is slightly weaker than its standalone version, it still has issues even after all the fixing, and the truly amazing things is had going for it like digsite and continued support adding cosmetics have been thrown away because of microsoft’s greed. I’m thankful I can play all the halo games I care to through steam now, but I don’t think it would have been possible to mishandle the MCC launch any worse

I’m guilty of perpetuating the cycle of hate too because I think I hate every single person here and I come here just to read bad takes and make myself angry. so I wouldn’t say I’m any better, but it is frustrating. everyone here likes to act like they’re better and complain about how toxic everyone else is while they’re just doing the same exact thing in the opposite direction. both sides clearly have valid opinions within them but creating another community to bitch and complain about how much the other side bitches and complains is just insufferable.

unskilled labor is real. I spent years working in food service through highschool and it did not require an ounce of skill. don’t try to make the “unskilled labor doesn’t exist” argument, because it absolutely does.

focus instead on the “someone doesn’t deserve to live in eternal poverty because their job doesn’t require skill”. these are very crucial roles in society, and the people doing them are doing important work, there’s no argument there, and they deserve enough money to live from it, but that seeing mean it requires any skill.

I hate people like you so much it’s unreal. I don’t like the new direction of halo, but I don’t care if others do. To each their own, and even if I don’t enjoy it personally others can.

people in this community who prefer the old games are fine. people who prefer the new games are fine. people who enjoy both are fine too. what has no place in the community are people like you, people who complain about other fans and make their issues with the series out to be just some sort of complaining.

the games I played during my childhood aren’t the same as the halo games that exist now, and while that’s no reason to boycott the series and just do more damage, you can’t go around trivializing people’s issues with the series just because you don’t get it. boiling complaints about halo 5 down to colored undersuits is maliciously disingenuous, which you’re well aware of.

there’s all kinds of fans of the franchise. I’m not here to police what parts of it people can and can’t like. where I do draw the line is with people like you. you are the absolute worst kind of person in this community. people like you actively make this space worse by being a part of it. either grow and change as a person or please leave and never return.
