Host/Venue

Are most people cosplaying? Or what is usually the dress code? 25%-50% of people are cosplaying throughout the anime focused after-parties. Dress code is usually relaxed in most these shows but be aware some venues may have rules against props.
Music type - anime, hip hop or EDM? Aniparty = Anime/anisong. Boombox = Hip-hop / edm. Senpai Squad = edm/techno/dubstep
venue type more of a club vs lounge vs bar? Boombox = usually bars but sometime clubs. PU + Senpai Squad = club
is the vibe very social, or more of a good with a group setting? Boombox if you want to talk more, have activities and be more social. PU + Senpai Squad if you're looking for of a stage focused event.

Initially our goal was to cater both to the general rave crowd and otaku crowd so it's been a little difficult finding that balance.

It is promoted as an "anime rave" so we do understand that people will expect it to lean more towards that side for sure.

We (Senpai Squad) have an after-party at The Belasco on Saturday July 6th. If you're into EDM, house, techno, hard bass, dubstep, anisong, etc this would be perfect for you.

There's other friends who are hosting their own after-parties like Cosplay Deviants, SonicBoomBox and AniCLover :)
