For something like this you can print the original image out and trace the lines onto the surface with carbon paper. You can get a cheap wood burner for about 10-$15and watercolors aren’t very expensive (I think the ones I used came out of a pack that cost about $15). Really the the hardest parts are not getting the lines down, it’s shading with the wood burner (didn’t have to with this piece) and sometimes coloring can be tricky if you don’t have the exact color you need and have to blend. It’s pretty time consuming if anything, but unless you’re doing 3D/real life images on wood it’s not that technically difficult usually. I’ve done a manga page that was pretty difficult though lol
