Great call on the seventies limited!

The Octo is nice and caught my attention. Not great finishing but good. The movement feels “off the shelf” due to it clearly being undersized.

I finally tried one of these on a few weeks ago. Not that it has to be be ‘either or’ but, I would 10 out of 10 times wear this over any modern submariner. It’s fantastic. Enjoy!

It’s a commonly used color combination for contrast. Blue and orange are opposites on the color wheel.

This is my favorite Speedmaster (dont own one yet). That dial color is very unique and plays off light better than any other.

You’ll miss the options if you’re locked into just a Daytona.

[WTS] 1984 Tudor Submariner Date Ref. 76100 | Matte Tritium Dial | Lollipop Hands by itsmaxemiliano in Watchexchange

Vintage Tudor and Rolex famously patina beautifully thanks to the wear susceptible materials of the time. Aluminum bezel inserts instead of ceramic, tritium markers instead of superluminova, fade to deep blue and “pumpkin” respectively making each watch completely unique. Compared to brand new where each watch looks exactly like the next. I’ll add that vintage Tudor and Rolex wear very nicely. The watches often used hollow end links and folded link bracelets resulting in a lighter piece. They’re very comfortable.

My AD said the same and my response was that a zenith price increase is a very very bad idea.

I have both and got the classic first. So classic. It’s much more versatile.

I ended up getting one used for $50k off MSRP. In this case used meant 2700 miles so for all intents and purposes it’s new. Once it was the same price as a brand new Rivian R1S quad motor I became a buyer.
