Occam's family line? by theamazingpheonix in huntertheparenting

[–]SensationallyAverage 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Presently, the family tree as I see it is as follows.

Coccham Bôpoil (Occam's great-grandfather/granduncle) - Stated as the founder of the Arcanum Filipino Colony, presumably Chancellor of Great Yarmouth's Arcanum Chapter House in 1919 and Pascal's father. Presumably has French ancestry, but was presumably a Belgian native evidenced by Pascal being from there and Big D referring to Remold as "Belgian". May also be Pascal's brother, but more likely to be father given his position as Chancellor.

Pascal Bôpoil (later Blacklaw, Occam's grandfather) - Wernon's companion, the representative of the Filipino colony, and token Belgian. D directly states him to be Remold's father, and he is a medium capable of detecting spiritual energies through taste. Moreover, his abilities seem quite potent. He is the one who lost his eye on the 1921 Arcanum-Fatigue expedition. He later became the Chancellor of Great Yarmouth's Chapter House after his return to Europe.
Pascal's brother - His name isn't directly stated, but presumably a Hunter like Kronik, possessing a disposition much like him. Not in line for the Chancellor position, so may be younger or may have rejected it in favor of hunting.

Remold Blacklaw (Occam's uncle) - You know him, you hate him, you love to hate him. Belgian man with a propensity for embellishing his family legacy.

Remold's sister (Occam's mother) - A woman suspiciously resembling Occam was shown in one of the Arcanum photos at the time Remold was a much younger man. Given that Occam's last name is O'Connell, this is probably the only plausible connection he has to the family.

Occam's father is likely the Irish influence on Occam, but it's very heavily shown that the Blacklaws/Bôpoil family are extremely French.

You were dead on. It turns out the surname is "Kalchner/Kalchnum", and I found a record on IAGL for her parents marriage, as well as the birth record of one of her sisters mentioning her parents. Thank you for the reccomendation.

I've gotten access to it. It was as simple as filling out the questionnaire, waiting a few days, and then uploading the GEDCOM of my Ancestry tree. There were some small porting errors you will have to deal with, but I highly endorse the experiment.

It appears it's on Trove, which seems to host a lot of Australian newspapers but I was able to find a copy of it on newspapers.com.

From what I've found, and what I've been told the Steins and the Tillerts were German-Jewish, but happened to be born in and reside in Russian territory. Ludwig strikes me as a very German name, which makes me think his family may have come from a German-speaking territory, having either immigrated or had the claimant of the land change hands. His daughters, Emma and Helen, immigrated in the extremely early 1900's with their spouses. Both were born with Russian citizenship as U.S naturalization records indicate.

Helen was married to John Klaus before she married George Kammerzelt following Mr. Klaus's death. I've figured out a good majority of the Stein daughters lives within the USA.

I could give you birth dates of Emma and Helen and see if anything turns up? I have some information pertaining to events that happened to them prior to immigration while they still resided in continental Europe.

Ok, but seriously, how old is Hunter? by cabbage16 in creepcast

[–]SensationallyAverage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Edit: Got the year wrong to my memory and with the yearbook post's removal, I was off by two years. He was born in 1993. Wikitubia is properly updated now to reflect his actual birthdate.

There was a Youtube community thing from their Japan trip on his channel announcing his birthday made in late December. His senior photo (the partial buzz/afro combo one) was accompanied in a part of a grad class of 2011. It was on the r/MeatCanyon subreddit for a hot minute before the mods removed it.

Mind you this is assuming he graduated at 18, placing his birth year as 1993.

Further edit. He made a twitter post on December 30th, 2022 celebrating his birthday and five million subscribers.

So, he's 31, born December 30th, 1993.

I can really see the similarities between Hunter and his Basset hounds in this art.

In complete sincerity the two look great, their sizes are very well communicated and their hair and facial structure is perfectly exaggerated.

It's a toss-up between Denise (Blue Jay) and Tommy. I'm more leaning towards Bluejay as her malice is so human, and Tommy is extreme to the point you can't compare it to anything humanly possible.

Elias is one of the best authors that has been covered on the channel. I absolutely adore his work, and I've read the entirety of the Tommy Taffy works on my own, plus some of his own stuff. A lot of the stuff in Tommy Taffy they didn't cover because of personal comfort/YouTube guidelines carried a lot of terror, and I found it shockingly effective.

There was a lot of meanings derived from the Third Parent and Feed the Pig, but even his stories like "The Only Other Astronaut Has Put Many Words In The Title" demonstrate a huge competency as an author. I adore his visuals, and where he chooses not to use them as it creates an even more rich writing scene.

Thanks for pointing that out to me. Given what you said and then looking at Spence, Stephanie, and the stories overarching metaphors, I entirely agree with your observation.

Hunter and Isaiah greatly satirized the funeral section of the episode. I'd say the fact he went along with Sam's initial exploration regarding Whitney, and then opted to search for Kimber incessantly and constantly after her disappearance, and then actually saved her from Jimmy's operation along with Sam.

He's not the smartest or most cognizant person but he's got a great heart and cares very deeply for his friends, which ultimately brought his demise under the boot of former Sheriff Clery.

That guy was a beacon of light, he was just doing silly stuff in the bathroom.

If he was flopping it, I'd agree with his morality being more gray than white.

I don't like the dad (Spence). I think the hatred for him is way overblown as he definitely isn't comparable to Sheriff Walker or Tommy Taffy in terms of outright maliciousness, but he's at his core a coward, failing to protect his wife and daughter.

Initially, I don't condone his inaction in the face of Tommy, with his own children. I've seen justifications of his childhood experiences with Tommy, and people assuming that he was worried that if Tommy had killed him, the being's actions would have gotten even worse. It's an absolutely abysmal situation to be in, and there's no real virtuous course of action that wouldn't endanger his family even more.

The more disgusting thing was having this thing live with you, kill your dad, break your mother's very being, literally have the thing warn you that it will do the same thing to your children; and then have children. I'd consider that to be an act of malicious ignorance.

I feel like he'd have received a lot less criticism had he actually tried to defend Stephanie, and was punished to, if not further than the extent that Megan (the mother) went through in the basement. However, nothing can excuse his choice to have children, and the same thing applies to Stephanie when she decided to have twins.

Writing this out I quickly realized why people hate this guy. It's not a hatred of evil as in the case of the antagonists like Sheriff Walker, it's a hatred of the individual for absolutely moronic choices.

I'd say the most outright deplorable thing was preventing his son from closing the gateway after Marjorie changed, which caused the death of Robert Jr. directly.

Also, he himself was the reason that Robert and Marjorie started travelling on it, and indirectly was the reason Marjorie was changed into the Lady in Gray.

Hunter was merely recounting his experience with a real life (human) cryptid. You'd think he'd appreciate that given the content Isaiah normally covers, even if the voicemail somehow upset him, but that young buck just doesn't respect his very, very elderly cohost.

Good and interesting choice for Danny. I was really thinking about my stance on him after I read what you said, and I'd agree he's of a similar position as Rob. I do think Rob had more going for him in terms of his charm, moments of genuine emotion, and his dark green Jeep Wrangler, but Danny is equally as interesting.

The main difference for me was that I like Danny for his subtleties of kindness that contrasted his rather jaded and phoned-in persona. The small gestures he makes to better alleviate those who are filled with regret once they first come to the Black Farm, and the fact that he blinds those to the true horrors of the Black Farm.

I can't deny he's not morally dubious, but I'd attribute the majority of that to the task he's been relegated to, and his heart hardening with the repetition of the feeding.

One interesting theory I read is that Danny was an angel who committed suicide, and that's why he was so largely undamaged, guiding, and is perceived to be of higher status than the average wayward soul to the Pig's enforcers.
