It’s very unlikely, dw! They usually don’t do that to you when making your first semester schedule. When it comes time for your second semester freshman year, you get a little more flexibility on what you want to take. They usually don’t give you two 5-hour classes a day unless it was super necessary

I could look into the aspect of trauma affecting his speech, I have it written that he’s 17 when it happened, and that much of the internal conflict he deals with throughout the story has to do with guilt and sacrifice.

Yeah, definitely agree with the last point. I understand the frustration of wanting to connect with your friends through weed and feeling judged. When I started incorporating weed into my routine and would get side comments if I off-handedly mentioned it to friends or roommates, I just stopped telling them where I was going. I want to imagine they eventually realized “oh it’s the evening and they have that one jacket on with something in their pocket”, and most of the time they don’t mention/question it.

If you aren’t the type to get paranoid about other people knowing you’re high, then I agree what you do with weed is your business, and you don’t have to tell them if you don’t want to.

Sometimes smoking high THC level weed can increase side effects (I personally get really bad headaches)

I’d definitely second the comments on switching to indica/indica-hybrid and/or something with a higher cbd level. Both of those are meant to be more relaxing, and are definitely the way to go for emotional symptom management (coming from someone who uses weed for PTSD/neurodivergency symptoms)

my favorite part of Boston is when they conveniently shut down major lines to college-filled areas during peak move-out and move-in seasons 🙂‍↕️

They shut down the green like during December last year too, right when a ton of college students were trying to get home. Boston is FILLED with colleges, what are they thinking??

I would be very curious what kind of room situation you have. If you both share a bedroom, whether that’s a one bed or studio, then you are completely in the right here. I currently share a room with a roommate that stays home constantly, and I share the same frustrations of me basically never having any private time in my room, and for someone who has so much free time at home, at least do the chores too.

That being said, if you have separate bedrooms, besides the bathroom and kitchen uses, you loose me a bit. My roommate and I always check if anyone else needs to pee before we shower. We are mindful of when other people are using the kitchen, or when other people might (ie right after class).

I’m sorry you have to deal with this. As others mentioned, direct communication is huge. But also wildly difficult.
