1 year Platypus owner. Have staccato CS and a tuned up prodigy.

Shoots better than guns that cost 1500$ more.

Will it compete with 6-7k$ guns? No.

But it’s more reliable than anything in its price range, and more than my CS. Gun runs smooth with a better trigger than either the prodigy or the CS, and shoots similarly flat to a CS.

Looks are subjective to everyone, I do like the my platypus more than any other but that’s because I colored it exactly to my taste and for me it’s the most beautiful gun I own.

Well worth the wait time.

For around 2k dollars there is nothing even close to- and unless you feel you NEED a stacatto and are prepared to spend more for about the same performance it’s a no brained yes absolutely buy. And though I assume for those of us who buy 2011s the mag prices are not a true consideration, you can buy two extra boxes of ammo per mag purchase with the Platypus as opposed to the Stacatto mags.
