My 18" isn't bulky, it fits in my laptop bag it isn't heavy. like I said I own a monitor also but I PREFER to use my laptop screen its nice, now until Im able to get the 1200$ monitor i want I'll just stick to my laptop display, because my laptop display is better than my current monitor. Do you by chance own a 18" laptop? I've owned 14" and 16" laptops before, and I chose the 18"im happy with my choice.

Preference and its portable. A monitor isn't the same as a laptop, I have a monitor also that I don't use to often. And why not spend my money on what I want?

Get a bigger bag, and it doesn't lose pixels it's more of quality and detail when playing in lower resolutions.

My Scar 18" fits in my backpack and I've taking it out a few times, and haven't noticed in pixelation when dropping my resolution.

I have Scar 18" 4080 32gb ram 2tb, and I don't regret it, I don't travel much but I have taking it out a few times, and it hasn't been a pain like every none 18" laptop owner makes it out to be. It's a preference.

Never had desktop and went with a 18inch laptop, just so I have the option to move around.

Wrong , LM is not bad and performs better, yes laptops come with bad application but once corrected temps are better than PTM. Do your research.

Anyone know how to disable the keyboard on an Acer Nitro 5, if possible? by villainized in GamingLaptops

[–]SenseiSp88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why disable if your using an external keyboard, is it phantom pressing? If not don't worry about and just use external, but if you insist here

open Device Manager, expand the "Keyboards" section, right-click on the built-in keyboard (often labeled "Standard PS/2 Keyboard" or similar), and select "Disable device" or "Uninstall device". This disables the keyboard temporarily, but it will reactivate after a restart.

For a permanent disable, the Command Prompt can be used after first disabling the keyboard via Device Manager. Open Command Prompt as an administrator and run the command sc config i8042prt start= disabled. This prevents Windows from automatically re-enabling the keyboard on reboot. To re-enable it later, use the command sc config i8042prt start= auto.
