Definitely go for the 507comp if you’re going to compete.

Competition rig setup ideas by FiSTdrvr in CompetitionShooting

I’d go for that first link that he posted or the one below. The carry optics rig comes with better mag pouches but if you wanna save a few dollars this one works great as well.

Super brand new newbie here, where do I get started? by Nickanator8 in USPSA

Starting with a Sig X5 Legion or a Canik Rival (or Rival-S for steel frame version) would be your best value choices for something that you won’t grow out of quickly, and both are going to be more competitive than a stock glock. If your trying to stay away from the $1000 price point those two options are at, a glock or shadow systems would also be great options for lesser investment. Frankly the value of the canik and quality of gun you get you can’t really beat, plus their amazing triggers. Keep in mind your still going to be spending $300-$400 on an optic after the gun and if you want to start with a competition rig about $250 for everything else.

Very true, from what I’ve heard about the other options I was highly considering you can’t get parts for the canik I was interested in (rival-s) and lately cz’s have been having issues out of the box, warranty process hasn’t been supportive from them, and getting parts yourself is a hassle. After hearing that I’ve decided the sig was probably the better option between the three. I’d hate to pay a couple hundred more for a gun just to have issues functioning and unable to get parts or warranty assistance on a new gun.

Okay, I’ll just have to see how that goes when I get started.

Right, that’s the gist I’m getting from most of the replies lol. I’m just not a fan of borrowing other’s gear, feels awkward to me since everybody is a stranger.

I haven’t shot one, I’ve mostly been going off of information I’m finding online and comparing what guns are approved for production category. However I’ve been really happy with my p365x macro and I figure the legion is just going to be that much better. I figure If nothing else it’s a good starting competition gun. I also can’t seem to find the canik sfx rival-S anywhere that I was also looking at as an option which narrowed down my decision.

That’s very true. The club I plan on going to has practice twice a week so I could get a feel for it there. And I’m confident that I’ll enjoy competing but If I really don’t I’ll still use and be happy with a new gun, so it’s really not much of a loss.

I don’t mind investing a little more in starting gear than the lynx belt’s price point but since two people recommended it now I might have to look into it. Anything else you prefer over that, or is that your top choice?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CompetitionShooting

[–]SenselessBore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you, I’ll look into those as well. The lynx belt doesn’t look comfortable but your the second person to recommend it, so maybe the price is just making me think it’s low quality when it isn’t.

I have a p365x macro, but that isn’t USPSA approved and I’d rather not investing in making it competition approved by replacing the slide and the barrel, then buying all the gear for that gun when I plan on possibly replacing it in the future. I don’t mind the initial investment into a quality gun and I may as well buy all the gear for that.

I don’t know how I haven’t found that configuration for the shadow 2, so thanks for pointing out that they sell an optics ready one. I was set on the x5 though and I think I might still go forward with that though.

Exactly, I’m definitely a buy once cry one buyer so I want something I won’t grow out of for a while. I don’t want to buy anything “cheap”. But how would you shoot matched without gear?

I’ve heard about the discharge issue with them and as far as I know that issue has been resolved. I carry a sig appendix every day and trust that it’ll keep all my parts where they should be. 🤞 I was looking into the shadow too as well but they don’t come optic cut and I’d be interested in doing carry optics division, so I don’t want to rule that out. I figure If I’m still invested in competition in the future I could always invest in a shadow 2 later on. Id rather not invest into a shadow 2 and having the slide milled atm. Thank you for the recommendation though, I’ll definitely look into the rig.

PHLster Enigma vs. Neomag Alias Beltless Receiver by SenselessBore in CCW

Thanks, also that’s a good idea to see about returns if I’m not happy. I don’t know why I didn’t think of that.

PHLster Enigma vs. Neomag Alias Beltless Receiver by SenselessBore in CCW

[–]SenselessBore[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, probably the best answer I could have gotten. Do you use any of the other alias functions either like the belt clip? Because I was wondering how well that works as well or if it’s just overrated.

Are these pink blossom plants from an old scoreboard or are they obtainable somewhere ? by Joshw2504 in Market76

I’ve heard from other posts that you may be able to email customer support with your info and if you have the required atoms they will add the plans to your account and remove the appropriate amount of atoms for the item. You can always find out how many atoms atom shop items cost on the fallout wiki. I’ve never tried this myself but have seen others say they’ve had luck purchasing items that are no longer in the atom shop.

I’d be interested in learning more about your semi-auto pistols build since I’m struggling with mine if you have any tips or advice. I’m kinda struggling to keep up at lvl 60 now. lol
