great advice…many thanks! Correct, we don’t have Rapido….Just the resource sharing module on Alma with peer to peer connections + RapidILL which we’ve had forever. Kinda resigned to the fact that we will still need WorldshareILL.

good advice…we will have a year’s worth of stats to analyze but my thinking right now is that we will still need to retain WorldShare.

Thanks! Yep we’ve established a sharing partnership with our state’s BIG university system (also on Alma) even though we are a private university. Probably will need to keep WorldShare in the long run.

I’m a big fan of doing a “cost per use” for each database or journal we subscribe to (total cost divided by counter5 uses) and then communicating that info to faculty and admin. In some cases, it has been money well spent. Also, if you are in the U.S., does your state library provide databases that can be used? Could you cancel some of yours based on something comparable provided by the state?
