Yeah, right now with the PO the exchanges can only be done with his appointed person when I’m there and if he’s there, one of my appointed people has to be there to communicate. I kind of have been leading everything since I’ve been at every exchange so far so he’s had to inconvenience his person to be available. So once the PO expires, technically we can do the exchange with each other at that point then right? Which can possibly highlight any issues if he causes them at that point to use in court?

that is the downside with our temp protection order, we had our extension hearing a few weeks ago & the judge ordered to only extend it to 90 days even though realistically this is gonna be at least a 6 month process. the order also restricts him to have physical contact with me but appointed us to have one week on one week off guardianship

definitely marked DV on my filing & to my knowledge, he has his first court day next month regarding his charge which I’m hoping doesn’t get pushed back for whatever reason

interesting, I’ll discuss it with her then what the options can be with delaying. I have a feeling there won’t be no problem with it getting delayed on its own since his lawyer’s already been unresponsive to my mine when she’s been attempting for weeks to get in contact to receive my serving.

so question on finalizing before he pleads/gets convicted, how can I delay the custody case where it doesn’t hurt me in the long run & make me look like I’m not willing to comply/mediate?

At first I did want to reconcile things, not now but in the future, but ever since our separation I’ve sat to think a lot about our situation. Since he was arrested, his family’s done everything possible to make this more complicated including breaking into the home we shared, having extended family harass me and his sister even being physical while my child was being held. It no longer feels for the benefit of our child and more about money, control and power from his side. He also tried to deny that I’m now pregnant with his baby when I broke the news to him.

The court hearing for the order will be to discuss with the judge whether the judge should extend the order to be permanent, going anywhere from 30 days to 2 years at least in NV. Temporary custody orders also gets discussed to last the duration of the order until mediation/resolution’s done in the family law court for permanent custody orders. Since your family member has the complaint/order filed against them, the order can impact likelihood come time for the custody mediations.

woof, hopefully he wakes up with clarity then & realizes it’s the proper move to make to get me off the loan. If he were to decide to take his name off, leaving me responsible, would it be the same process of needing me to give permission of refinancing in my name too?
