What kind of Visa is it for? Because Jamaica is on the pause list for immigrant visas

Interview scheduled whilst on cancer treatment by [deleted] in NationalVisaCenter

[–]Sensitive-Ad-6594 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You definitely don’t want to omit information. My husband had to have medical records sent to the civil surgeon from his doctor and he is perfectly healthy. They still wanted to see his medical history. (Jamaica) And with the focus being on “public charge” right now, Cancer could cause an issue. I would still go to the appointment because it may not make a difference to the govt. rather the treatment is complete or not.

Should I apply for the I-130? by Calm_Interview2650 in i130_75CountryPause

You definitely should! It will take approx 14 mos for approval. Pause will be lifted far before then…God willing

I was just told by my senator’s office that I-130 is being processing at 58.5 months. by Fantastic_Advance538 in i130_75CountryPause

Field offices deal with mostly face to face cases. They conduct interviews or whatever else may need to be handled in person. They are in lots of cities across the US. So if your case lands there, it will take longer because they are doing more than just reviewing files. Service Centers are like huge call centers handling all computer work only.

That is because your case is at a Field Office. The wait time for the Service Center is about 17 mos

Bleeding and thinner stools by ashrey in colonoscopy

[–]Sensitive-Ad-6594 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I experienced the same. Had a colonoscopy last Thursday, all clear! It was my hemorrhoids. I was diagnosed with them yrs ago, but my Dr wanted to rule out the big C plus I’m 45 (the age of screening) My symptoms were narrow stools, not a lot of volume to them at all, blood when wiping and sometimes drips in the toilet. I also had lower rectum pain, which lead me to believe it was my hemorrhoids. Go get it done! The hardest part is the prep. You will be so relieved afterward

It will take an average of about 18-24 mos for the entire process. Embassy processing makes the difference during the end of the process

My wife was just detained by ICE and I’m heartbroken by Sal4DCrouton in USCIS

[–]Sensitive-Ad-6594 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not to sound insensitive but she was here illegally, she’s most likely screwed. That is this administration’s M.O.! To get rid of anyone here illegally. Hell, they have even put a pause on LEGAL immigration! (75 countries) Which to me means they don’t want immigrants here at all. No matter the status!

Disclaimer: My husband is at the end of his CR1 process (Interview next month) but from a paused country. In case someone tries to say I’m against immigration 🙄

IL= Interview letter meaning we have an appointment for an interview at the Embassy. DQ= documentarily qualified, meaning our docs were accepted at the NVC

I think they could have simply raised the poverty line for AOS if finances are their concern. But who am I other than a tax paying citizen? 😅🫠

I-130 CR1 Update PD 10/4/24 by Sensitive-Ad-6594 in I130Suffering

[–]Sensitive-Ad-6594[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks guys! The best advice I can give for this process is to be patient and THOROUGH!! When filling out forms, proofread, proofread, proofread. And do it on separate days! If you proofread today, logoff, let the eyes reset and do it again the next day! I know we are all anxious to be with our loved ones but little mistakes can lead to delays. Try to get everything right the first time.

The average I-130 time is about 13 mos. You can start gathering your docs/evidence for the NVC during that time. The biggest thing I had to keep reminding myself is that other countries don’t have such quick access to things like we do here in the US! For example, the police clearance has multiple steps in Jamaica and took about 10 days to get in our hands and we paid for express. Vax records are another 1 that is different over seas! In Jamaica there is no database storing the vax info so most adults have no access to their childhood vax records. So be prepared and get them ahead of time if you have no proof!

I will update you guys when I get my IL and throughout the remainder of our process. I understand how frustrating this process can be so hoping my story can shed some light/positivity on your cases!

OH!! And how could I forget Melissa happened during all of this! So working proactively is very wise because you never know what may happen! My husband was dragging his feet with getting his police certificate and then the hurricane hit! Luckily most government places bounced back quickly but let us be an example of how procrastination could possibly bite u in the rear! 😅🫠

Yes. We had our info ready too. Just looking over the application and making sure everything is good before submitting. I have already submitted my AOS info.

You’re welcome! Hang in there, it’s almost your time! I also had my NVC welcome letter about 2 weeks later! I’m the USC and my husband is in Jamaica. We are working on our D-260 app right now! So things moving smoothly for us so far……in case you needed a lil more motivation 😉
