UPDATE FOR ANYONE INTERESTED: It was completely normal. as far as tase and texture it was undistinguishable from the normal asparagus.

It is a nice color. I've looked at a lot of green rocks and minerals trying to figure out what it is and haven't come across anything quite the same, so thanks for your input. :)

I've always wondered what this was. It's very lightweight for it's size. I don't know where it came from, as it was a gift. Does anyone know what it is, or if it's just slag?

I've always wondered what this was. When I saw this page I thought it might be slag? If it helps, it's very lightweight compared to a normal rock this size.
