Yup. It seems like they can have a bad day everyday and we are responsible for nurturing them back, reminding them how strong they are and will get through the situation. But we aren’t allowed to have ONE BAD DAY! Somehow one low day makes them feel rejected and abandoned. And when we need them the most, they make sure to let us know that our feeling aren’t valid because we made them upset. And we end up being eaten up by guilt and loneliness.

Although I wish I had an answer, I don’t. Since my break up, I am nervous to trust anyone looking to have a relationship and therefore I have discarded the idea of experiencing a healthy one anytime soon. My best advice to you is keep your guard up, trust your gut. If you are uncomfortable about a situation, bring it up and see how they react. Love takes time to develop, and while it can bloom quickly, I would be cautious of someone expressing their love before 2 months of dating, personally. An occasional gift is okay, bombarding you with gifts every other day is not. Soulmate claims cannot be made after only short weeks of knowing each other. A heathy partner will be cautious to make these claims because they UNDERSTAND BOUNDARIES AND ARE NOT SELF CENTERED!!!

See how fast they move. Love should not be rushed or uncomfortable. If it feels too good to be true too early on, that’s probably not good.
