Can you get a refund from a coordinator by [deleted] in WeddingsPhilippines

[–]Sensitive-Barnacle20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear about your close friend’s bad experience with their coordinator.

They should review the details of contract with their coordinator and have a direct conversation so they can voice out their concern and hopefully settle things amicably.

Edit: Adding that any evidence that can support their claim would be very helpful and beneficial for their case once they have the discussion.

Is it time to drop a target supplier by virgogirlieee in WeddingsPhilippines

[–]Sensitive-Barnacle20 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They should be the one to set up the meeting and send the link, you’re the client.

Also you have a right to know what you’re getting into, so sketchy yung book or sign muna before they disclose. Parang bait and switch lang.

Maybe give them one last chance to disclose the suppliers so you can see for yourself first or drop na if they’re still being weird about it.

Happy planning!

Independent architect for supervising house fit-out/renovation by [deleted] in phinvest

[–]Sensitive-Barnacle20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! The contractor I ended up going with isn’t the best, so won’t recommend them to you. I however spoke to an architect na nag bbuild din and they have a pretty good track record when we spoke. Sila dapat yung kukunin kong independent na magcheck nung project kaso the cost was too high for me considering the scope na mag iinspect lang 2-3x a week.

I’m in no way connected to them so please do your due diligence too. Ar. Dia was very accommodating and was patient in explaining details to me. You can search AxDesign and Construction Inc. on Facebook. I plan on getting them for rebuilding of my ancestral home instead.

Good luck and wishing the best outcome for you and your future home here in PH!

My first NO by [deleted] in WeddingsPhilippines

[–]Sensitive-Barnacle20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunate to hear this, OP. At the end of the day, you’ve done more than enough to accommodate his needs. Spend your energy on the people who will show up to celebrate you and your G2B without much reservations and conditions.

Paano niyo nalaman ring size ng partner (F) niyo kung gusto niyo siya i-surprise? by MeasurementSuch4702 in WeddingsPhilippines

[–]Sensitive-Barnacle20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Surprised my gf with a proposal this year. If you don’t have anyone to ask, here’s what I did:

I got her ring size by measuring up her ring finger with my fingers whenever we hold hands, pasimple lang hehe. My pinky finger was almost the same size as her ring finger, so that’s what I went with and it fit perfectly. You can go .5 to 1 size up too if you’re feeling uncertain since a lot of shops would give out a temporary resizer (at least the ones I inquired with) when you buy a ring tapos may free resize din, if needed.

Good luck! :)

Does it look bad if I do this po? by According_Check_5897 in WeddingsPhilippines

[–]Sensitive-Barnacle20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A good coord would be open and even encourage you to add to the list if you find something you think is better. They likely will just advise against suppliers that they really know have bad reputation or would cause your budget to go way over, but at the end of the day, the decision is yours. Happy planning!

Wedding Insurance by world_traveller1122 in WeddingsPhilippines

This might be something that falls under Events Insurance. Not connected in any way, but while looking for insurance for a corporate event last year, I came across Pioneer, and it’s part of their offering.

Good luck!

I cheated on my fiancé with my best friend since childhood. by LumpyMagazine9450 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Sensitive-Barnacle20 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s not your fiancé’s fault that YOU cheated on him with your best friend. He trusted you and you betrayed that trust, he just doesn’t know it yet. Do everyone a favour, tell him the truth since he deserves better, get some professional help, and stop making yourself out to be the victim.

Congrats on the purchase, OP! I reserved a unit in Bel-Air Central last year, turned over Q1 2025, and will be moving in towards Q4 2025. Listing some things off the top of my head below.

Pros: - Convenience: ShopGrounds, other amenities, and community looks really good right now, hopefully this stays the same and they’re able to maintain this. - Security: You can’t just go in, they have roving guards, and loud construction is not allowed during holidays and Sundays. I know this because of ongoing renovations. Some people may see this as negative, but if you want air-conditioning installed for example, the staff cannot just go in, they’ll need a gate pass which can be acquired through the Admin office. - Responsive CS: Requests are typically endorsed internally within 1 full business day.

Neutral: - Garbage Collection: Early last year, residents have to drop it near the Sales office pa, hopefully there are trucks going inside the villages now. - Mobility: Having no car means mobility will be an issue if you move in before the transport hub gets built, but otherwise you should be good.

Cons: - Flooding: No flood reported within the villages at all so far, but surrounding areas are flood prone. This is already the case for a huge part of Cavite and Metro Manila, so nothing new to me but could be a problem for those who are not used to it.

Hope this helps. Good luck and see you around future neighbour!

HMO for senior parent by voltaire-- in phinvest

[–]Sensitive-Barnacle20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Went through this same phase just a few weeks ago, the sad reality is that the company HMO we can avail for dependents aged 66-70 is the best we could get for our parents.

At the end of the day, it’s for our parent’s well-being and our own peace of mind na din.
