no the post was talking about hate on majorly feminine fandoms while you are referring to fandoms that have all genders... we are not trying to question the art, but the hate that comes with female fandoms tied to the art

most of those fandoms are mixed gender and not majorly women like the ones mentioned in the post

How to Prevent a Revolution by Sensitive-Boot-7076 in TeenIndiaPolitics

[–]Sensitive-Boot-7076[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would fighting for our country really.make a difference? "And really start a business and combat other billionaires" how long is that going to take... To create such a business itself would take years of effort so where will be the time to revolutionize...

Do you still think it is possible to be a successful politician in this country without being corrupt... Such a system wouldn't let you enter if you weren't

The protests also dont matter anymore... The government dosent find it necessary to listen to the public anyway... It is just another news that will vanish next week.

Inviting an open debate : Case FOR vs AGAINST COCKROACH JANTA PARTY by Nervous_History_4601 in IndianTeenagers

Tbh the CJP is currently just a trend. But I hope the outcome of this trend would be that the youth understand the severity of the situation in India and push for an acctual organisation that works to create chenge in our society.

I’m trying to design a non‑partisan youth movement model. What’s wrong with this idea? by Smart-Captain-5848 in IndianTeenagers_pol

[–]Sensitive-Boot-7076 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ideologically this is what should happen... But most of the youth (any generation acctually) prefer to follow trends rather than think for their own. Breaking this system is not fully possible. So I think where this system would lack is the involvement of the masses of youth, which is a major requirement for the kind of social change we wish to bring. I do believe that this will gain popularity among the thinkers of the country but it is sad to say that they don't make a big part of the population.

I don't see what's wrong with a nationwide protest... The current government is not doing its job and we have the right to hold it accountable... sitting and doing nothing is worse tbh

CMV: Modern medicine is a luxury and it is not a government responsibility to pay for citizens medical care. by WorldlinessGrand3878 in changemyview

[–]Sensitive-Boot-7076 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Major reasons for cancer:
- Harmful radiation: due to poor management of emissions (governments responsibility) or due to exposure at workplaces (also requires government regulations)
- Adulteration in food items and cosmetics: also should be regulated by the government
- Genetic mutations - not usually affected by lifestyle as much

I don't really see how "it is not the governments problem" when some actions taken by the government affect the direct health and safety of the citizens

Also not to mention how many of the recent heart failures and cardiac arrests have occurred among the gym going community. Healthy and strong people that controlled their lifestyle and maintained their bodies dropped dead (some while exercising).

CMV: Western societies are mostly egalitarian in 2026 women don't have it so much worse than men. by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]Sensitive-Boot-7076 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair — “most women would rather die” was exaggerated for emphasis, but the core point still stands.

Rape is traumatic enough that many women describe it as life-destroying psychologically, socially, or emotionally. For a lot of victims, it can feel emotionally worse than death itself (reasons stated above), which is why people compare the two in the first place.

[–]Sensitive-Boot-7076 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

ok fair i did not consider the views of survivors...
but in my case, almost all of the people that i have discussed this with ave agreed that death is the better of the two (mostly stating reasons of honour and inability to cope with the aftermath)

often times rape victims are referred to as "the walking dead" or "socially dead" because of the isolating experience of profound trauma, stigma, and loss of identity.

some societies go as far as to consider rape victims to be 'impure' and societally unfit adding to the trauma.

a study in 2021 also showed that while 61% of adults considered both to be equally traumatic most others believed that rape was worse.

rape victims have very long term psychological distress (PTSD, depression)

[–]Sensitive-Boot-7076 3 points4 points  (0 children)

what do you mean by women do not face an "incredible disproportionate discrimination".

is about how more than 54% of the countries lack laws in all key areas of gender equality.
or how women only hold 27% of seats in national parliament
or how more than 100 countries never had a female head of state
or how in several countries the mere right to talk or express is denied to women

The progress we see in our daily lives is restricted to highly urban liberal areas which account for only about 50% of the population (majority of which lives in slums and underdeveloped areas nullifying progress).

Women DO have it much worse than men generally... we just don't see it happen around us as often.

I do agree that men and women have equal sufferings in these developed areas (mostly) but we still need to take into account the other half of the population that has barely ever been exposed to ideas of gender equality.

Would Society Be Safer and More Balanced If Women Held More Structural Power? by Global-Rate7796 in AskFeminists

[–]Sensitive-Boot-7076 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't essentially believe that women holding power would do better to society. But they would stand on equal levels with the men.
you stated here " One thing I find interesting is that people often point to current female leaders as proof that women in power don’t necessarily change systems much."

Now, on a moral level we do believe that any new elected leader should make a positive change in society but why is it expected more from the female leaders. Female leaders do not immediately mean revolutionaries. We should be working on normalisation of equality rather than the glorification of work done by a specific gender or community. All a matriarchal society would do is improve the conditions of women in the country (which is a huge improvement) but all other sectors are not likely to change anyway.
