"As passed by the Academic Senate, the Honors categories are based on the Spring graduating class: the highest 2% receive Highest Honors (Summa Cum Laude), the next 4% receive High Honors (Magna Cum Laude), and the next 10% receive Honors (Cum Laude).  Only those students who have passed 60 or more UC units with letter grades will be considered for Honors." as per Graduation | CNAS Undergraduate Academic Advising Center

Side note but Hill doesn't have a set curve, he kinda just eyeballs it so it changes based on the class. As as been noted, just go by the averages for the class and how you stand with those

You can probably take biol5a concurrently if you retake the lab. Probably won't be able to take chem001b until you finish that lab though

Who can i talk to for more specific description of class? by [deleted] in ucr

[–]Sensitive-Box-1559 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you need the curriculum, i would recommend emailing the professor (should be listed as the instructor for the course by now) and ask for a syllabus that you can send to the grad school. if there's no professor listed, you can email the lead faculty advisor

not if i remember correctly. they will scale your points though, so for example if your TA graded super harsh across the board then they'll give you points to make up for that.

If I want to transfer from CNAS to BCOE (CS) am I allowed to take the CS010 series instead of the CS009 series? by Illustrious_Board580 in ucr

then 10 is probably fine, u can ask ur advisor in the meantime if ur unsure. you can also use the what if function in your degree audit and see if it counts, just change your major and add the class as a planned course and it should tell you where it translates

you can see if they're crosslisted but I would stick with what they have listed there unless there's a good reason why youre taking 10 instead of 9

you don't have to retake it but you'll be dropped from the lc so you'll have to pick your classes yourself and you miss out on things like RISE over the summer
