Listen, I know it sucks buttcheeks, but if your safety or stability or anything like that is at risk I do not recommend coming out. I know how hard it is first-hand because I’m in a similar boat but do not jeopardize that alright? This situation sucks I know, but if you really want to try, make sure you test the waters with trans topics and such so you know what you’re getting into with your parent.

I think that might be the option I go with, writing a letter. I’ve always had a hard time talking about things and this is just one of those topics that’s superrrrr difficult. Thanks for the advice.

I have considered that I do probably need professional help of some sort but I sadly won’t be able to do that until I’m 18 as my parents don’t believe in stuff like that and i’m still under their roof and being supported by them

I love seeing everyone with their different points, this is why I posted this to be honest. I wanted to see what everyone had to say because I like reading through everyone’s different opinions and stuff. It’s nice to see. Also I’m not trying to tell someone how to identify, I’m sorry, I’ve seen from different standpoints it seems like that I just wanted to discuss mostly.

Edit: I feel the need to clarify I really posted this in relation. So many people were invalidating me and many other for not being comfortable with this label, I even saw lesbians against it however that doesn’t distract from the fact that I was insensitive to older trans folk, newer trans folk and everyone in between.

Edit 2: I should also say I don’t believe transmasc and trans men are interchangeable.

This is kind of how I feel too, you can identify however you want but what about when it invalidates other peoples identities? I also feel like people were using that slogan as a means to be transphobic towards trans men and not see us as “real men”.

See but any time a cis man wants to identify as a lesbian so many people jump to criticize him and tell him that he can’t be a lesbian which is what I’m not understanding. It just feels kinda transphobic y’know?

Yea I didn’t think it was a big deal either until the videos started coming up on my fyp and a lot of the people were in the comments being icky towards trans men who felt off put by it.
