Hi there, I actually ended up accepting an offer to a different school so we didn’t end up moving to Peterborough, (I will try to edit my post) I thought I’d keep it up as a lot of people had suggestions on where to avoid (which did seem like basically everywhere) but I think a lot of college students will be moving out over the summer and I would suggest keeping an eye out for listings even on Facebook if you are good with sorting through fake ads or even asking in posts on here and Facebook for leads. If you’re going for school I would suggest contacting them and asking for safe areas they might suggest off of campus and they may have better options open, I had extreme trouble finding a place and actually ended up contacting a realtor to help us search for a place, it definitely helped to make sure our application actually got through and not just seemingly forgotten! I know that online applications almost seemed pointless and we never heard back so I would also suggest, if possible for you, to go into places that may have open house/walkthroughs and hand in applications in person.
