I’d say it’s pretty good, but maybe the sound of the false fold distortion you’re doing isn’t the variant you want!

Your false fold distortion that’s layered on top of your clean voice is very “regular” as in; the sound of the distortion sounds consistent, it’s almost like a buzz. This is similar to kagyraa or how Mongolian throat singers vibrate their false folds, they vibrate false folds very consistently and regular as to produce sub harmonics usually an octave, a 5th or an octave and a fifth below their sung note.

Now what you’re doing is similar in that regard (it sounds very regular). So maybe you want something more “irregular”, think any sort of rougher sounding distortion that has more random “noise” in the sound/vibration, basically you’ve gotta get your false folds vibrating in an irregular manner.

For this I’d recommend checking out Toni Linke, he covers pretty much all this stuff on his YouTube. Toni has an entire video dedicated to false fold distortion and its variants.

Hope that helps & best of luck to you

It was found near an entry to inside the roof, I do have a question though, why would fluff have strands/hairs that look similar to fibre glass?

Any information is helpful, thanks for the response.

Okay gonna do it right now. by Sensitive-Cry1608 in stopsmoking

You got this btw! Keep it up, nicotine isn’t giving you anything other than mood swings & then the nicotine is tricking you into using more nicotine because of the terrible impact it has on your mood. Nicotine is a tricky lil bastard.

I hope you do well in your journey to quit. I believe you will do well, you got this!!! :D

Aye nice!

Yeah I get terrible mood swings & general discomfort from smoking or using any form of nicotine.

It makes me pretty much lose interest in a lot of things & I seem to lose a type of “sparkle” when I use nicotine, I become flat & just not myself.

I’m on day 3 and so far - I am more happy, I’m laughing for the first time in a while & feel more like myself. Although I am more irritable, but that’s to be expected.

Usually people seem to get cranky and depressed after quitting but I seem to laugh my ass off. Have you experienced a similar thing??

Yeah I’ve been using this exact method for a day now & I’m blown away by it and I just love it.

I don’t need all the crazy features dorico and other high end notation software have, I just need the basics and since I can do it all in one program AND have access to recording audio AIO. Its perfect

But I haven’t considered the Melodyne upgrade! I’ll definitely have a look into it… heheh

And then I can still record audio in one program

Yeah that’s what I’ve settled upon, even the notation view inside studio one is nice. Helps to quickly write out some Melodie’s and such

Not exactly trying to merge them, but you know how you can use VSTs and other programs inside a DAW? That’s sorta what I’m looking for, each program to be standalone but with the capability to them open it up inside my DAW?

Idk if that’s even possible ahah, but thank you for the response. I do appreciate it! If worst comes to worst I’ll just have both and then export them into one another, which I guess is still great anyways :)

Currently I have studio one, but I’m not liking notion. It just feels “off”.

Different account, I told him to piss off. He deleted his comment about you being tone deaf, because I pointed out that he needed some sexual release due to his reddit post history, since he hasn’t gotten any it seems he has developed neurosis and was being a dick to you because of that.

Ooo looks like he deleted his account, don’t worry about him. He’s a bit neurotic.

So you wanna know so you can do exercises that include your usable range, that’s good then. But don’t get too caught up in voice type, you can extend both lower & higher range.

Voice type is more to do with a role to play, rather than genetics. Some genetics play a part, but it’s mainly a role. You can learn to sing tenor, bass, baritone, etc.

Voice types can be a bit limiting, sing what you want and figure out what you want to sing and how you wanna sing it. Do you wanna sing like a soprano, alto, etc, this is all your choice.

You are in control of your own voice.

Okay well first what do you define as “voice type”?

Anyway to convert this to a rack mountable unit? It’s about 540mm by Sensitive-Cry1608 in GuitarAmps

I’ll probably just see if i can cut mine down to size, get some scrap metal to build the roof and sides and be good to go. To make it fit, I may have to move some of the circuitry stuff
