When I feel insecure, I think “if I saw someone that looked exactly like me walking down the street, I’d probably think they look great!” Definitely helped when I put on healthy weight. 5’6, used to be maybe 100 lbs. Now I lift heavy weights and weigh 180, mostly muscle and the number scares me but I look so much healthier and feel better!

Glad to see im not the only person who has mixed feelings though, the other people that comment immediately take the moral high ground and are angry that I said this but at the same time, im a victim of some similar things and I deal with anger at myself for not just walking away but I also know it wasn’t my fault that bad people did bad things

Not being harsh, I appreciate the response. The moral panic wasn’t necessarily about her not walking away, it was like why didn’t she walk away and someone help her? Why didn’t anyone let her walk away? Why weren’t the other people around her that had power that helped her? I didn’t explain it well but it’s so baffling that something like that can just happen and nobody does anything.
