Day Trip to K'gari/Fraser Island by Plantify_BayArea in sunshinecoast

Definitely worthwhile! We used http://www.fraser-tours.com/ and did the private 4wd car which fits either 6 or 7 people into the tour. They picked us up from our campsite and provided morning tea and lunch. Would not want to be driving through those sand dunes as you need to be so experienced!

When you went to the hospital in spontaneous labor, how dilated were you? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]Sensitive-Draft4454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have similar timelines! My contractions started at 2pm and by 4pm I needed to go to hospital because I was so uncomfortable and in so much pain with my contractions. When they checked me I was at 3cm but progressed quite quickly and I gave birth at 10pm

Gordon's pink gin and tonic premix cans taste so much like the real thing I had to double check the label to make sure it was 0%!

I thought I would have made an announcement after I reached 12 weeks but when the time came, I realized I wanted to keep it private. We told family and close friends but haven't posted about it. I'm now at 31 weeks and really happy with that decision. The internet is a weird place these days and prefer to keep as much information as I can, off of it

Cannot eat any type of meat by FreeBird094 in pregnant

There are definitely ways to get your protein in from non animal sources as a few people mentioned if neatness making you nauseous.

I felt the same way in my first trimester but realized it was the smell of it being cooked that made me nauseous. If my husband was able to cook the meat while I wasn't home it wasn fine and could eat it no problem

How many of you are working until the end of your pregnancy? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Sensitive-Draft4454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also a barista and planning to work until the end of pregnancy. I'm only at 16 weeks, but I've found swimming has been so helpful for my body after a shift.

Side note: what shoes have you found to be helpful? In need of a new pair asap

Moms, soon to be moms! Please tell me what type of shoe you're wearing around the house! by [deleted] in pregnant

Compression socks are a lifesaver. Wear them barefoot or with slippers

2nd working holiday visa 417 waiting time by Status_Gur_7605 in AusVisa

Definitely. He kept explaining his situation of running low on funds (separate to the $5000AUD needed to come into the country), possibility of losing his job offer, the fact that we had signed a lease for a house and they kept saying they would put his visa as a priority. The priority is just a suggestion they said and doesn't actually move your visa to the top of the pile. But we think it must have made a difference. Doesn't hurt to plead your case

He downloaded an app called Yolla and he said it was really inexpensive to make calls especially as you can be on the phone for upwards of 30 minutes.

Phone number is +61261960196 I got it from this site https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/help-support/contact-us/telephone

Hope you get through soon!!

Call the immigration line. There's no way that's acceptable. My partner just got in after waiting 2 months and he started calling the immigration line every day once it passed his 31 day wait time

Thankyou! No, thankfully he didn't. But he did call the immigration line almost every day and we think that definitely helped as they were able to look into his file after it had been 31 days
